How much does Atoms cost?
Atoms has several in-app purchases/subscriptions, the average in-app price is 144.90 S/.
I am certain that for individuals residing in California or those who can afford to live anywhere globally, a subscription fee of 17 USD per month might seem reasonable for an app. However, in Peru, 69.90 PEN (approximately 18.50 USD) is not just out of touch—it's blatantly preposterous. Considering that 69.90 PEN represents about 6.82% of the minimum wage in a country where over 70% of the workforce is employed informally without insurance, this pricing is excessively unrealistic. I deeply regret this tirade, but I am merely expressing my frustration. Such pricing is illogical outside the wealthiest 1% globally.
A decade ago, the minimum wage in Peru was 750 PEN; today, it is 1025 PEN.
The adjusted subscription fee for Peru, based on purchasing power parity, should be around 16.42 PEN (approximately 4.60 USD) per month. Yet, for every Peruvian outside the wealthiest 1%, 5 USD is still prohibitively expensive for a monthly app subscription. This stark contrast underscores the current pricing's lack of alignment with the local economic reality.
While the app is very well-developed, it mandates the week to start on Sundays (which is not the norm in most countries) and enforces a 12-hour clock format (again, at odds with global standards).
Expensive for what it is
I love the interface and can see great potential for this app; however, having limited habits to track (6 max) even with a paid version is woefully insufficient. Hopeful this will be addressed soon!
Not intuitive to log progress
I have been all over this app and still can’t figure out how to log progress. You’d think after the task is accomplished with the timer in the app, it would automatically count it - but it doesn’t.
This app is good , but not ideal for me
im writing this review for few suggestions i hope developers take them seriously:
1 - App can be faster , app lags when i edit a habbit , it doesn't Close but it lags
2 - Implementing some AI suggestions can be a good addition specially when its intergrated with My habbits
3- please add a search bar in the mindset section
4- please add spotify integration with focus because not everyone use apple music 🙏
5. Some motivational quotes are also good and helpful for extra motivation
I hope you take my feedback seriously and waiting for a response soon ...
So much potential
"Atomic Habits" is the best self-help book I've ever read, and I can’t recommend it highly enough. James Clear's newsletters are also fantastic. Unfortunately, the corresponding app falls short of the brilliance of the "Atomic Habits" book. The annual premium price of $80 is not justified, given the limited features currently available. I suggest purchasing a copy of "Atomic Habits" and using a different habit-tracking app for implementation.
Very underwhelming for the price
The app looks beautiful, but the features are very limited for the price they expect you to pay. This app is worth 20 bucks at best.
Dark mode?
Apps without dark mode are almost unusable these days. Is this coming soon? Pretty cool otherwise. People complain about only 6 habits but they’re missing the point of building a habit.
Disappointed
I purchased and read Atomic Habits and loved all the tools and strategies the book contained. I credit that book with helping me end nighttime snacking! I enjoyed this app initially until the trial period ended. Unfortunately, this app offers very very little for the price.
Excellent
James Clear has been an excellent thoughtful writer for some time now! I am enjoying this app. It is giving me more focus and a better sense of priorities than my efforts gave me before. Time is an important factor but racing forward does not give you progress on your goals. The app keeps me informed and in reality.
Good concept, too complicated
The app is too complicated. It’s easy enough to set up a habit however, I can’t even figure out how to mark off my progress that I make each time I complete my habit.
It shouldn’t be this difficult. Did they even do beta testing? It’s frustrating when you want an app to work, but it’s too complicated to use.
