I’ve only used this title because it is the last one I’ve played. What a trove of riches is this app. Having discovered it I don’t think I could henceforth live without it. I even go to bed with it playing, via Bluetooth, into my hearing aid.
Living in France as I do, BBC is a God sent gift as not only does it provide culture and comedy to educate and amuse me, it also enables me to inform all my French acquaintances of exactly what is going on in theUK. Thank you all.
Can’t download in advance so when you lose coverage you lose the series that you are listening to - that you can’t listen to in the correct order and that you can’t just listen straight through when is coming in the right order, finally, because you have to hit the play button for each episode…… just saying!!!

I love BBC sounds dramas. They’ve helped me with my English, general knowledge and imagination. It’s a pity I can’t listen to some of my favourite dramas due to licence issues. I’d have loved to be able to listen to Jane Eyre for example. Besides, we don’t have a platform where drama lovers can get together to comment the program.
And love being able to catch up!
BBC sounds is amazing ! It’s SO much better than the previous radio apps which gave access to BBC radio. But I took off a star for certain clunky aspects, especially for the awkwardness in finding again shows which you have subscribed to if you haven’t listened to them for a while. They become lost among a list of shows which you have subscribed to where every latest episode is listed (like EVERY edition of each news program) so that it becomes quicker to look for the show which you want to find again in the search box - if you can remember the name of the show you have subscribed to !
For the last few months, the app has not allowed access, unless one creates a profile with intrusive personal questions. I used it daily before this requirement, but I have not been able to access any functionality at all after they introduced the login screen, as I do not want to hand them my data. The irony is that they continue to “improve” the app, but I have no idea if the new functionality is good or not, as I cannot access it.
I listen music, documentary when I walk, or take the train for to go to work!! The best companion!! Thanks BBC
