App barely ever works
I have an IPhone SE and this app barely ever works. Occasionally it works if I delete and download it again, but not always. I love BBC sounds and I’m gutted I can’t listen to it! :(

Enjoying content but app is temperamental
Been using the app for a long time from abroad and until recently it was rock-solid reliable. It suddenly became hit and miss whether it would stream or not and often found myself giving up on it and using the BBC Sounds website which worked much better. Sticking with it as it’s a vital connection to UK for me as an expat!
The app keeps failing since an update
Since about December 2023 bbc sounds app keeps occasionally failing to load all except the downloaded content. I hope it gets fixed soon.
Addiction
I can safely say I'm addicted to BBC radio my ultimate source of entertainment, education, and news. It brings me knowledge, tears, laughter and ultimately joy. Thank you to all the reporters that bring such interesting stories that enrich my life and open a window onto the world that we might not ever know about. I'm super super grateful to have you in my life day in and day out.
The best
I listen to the BBC Radio4 content. It’s simply the best there is- informative, funny, thought-provoking etc. I think the British should consider it a privilege to be able to pay the BBC licence fee. Unfortunately I don’t live there so I have to have it for free!!
Fails to charge
Lately I have frequent problems listening to my favourite BBC podcasts because the application fails to load, often via both my WiFi connection and 4G. It gives the option of ‘try again’ or ‘go to downloads’. After trying again several times it still often fails to load. I am not given the option to download most of my programmes.
iOS 17 bug issues
Really sad to see the app left in this sorry state since the launch of iOS 17. Often fails to load and has become really glitchy. What’s more sad is that nobody seems to care about fixing it!
Problems loading on iPhone recently
Many times I try to connect and it just says problem loading. Try again later. Very frustrating. Is there a fix for this please?
Radio 4 is full of doom and gloom
I’ve been listening to radio 4 for many years. However, less and less these days as there are fewer and fewer cheerful programmes. Of course with wars happening, the news is all very serious. But a little light relief on other shows would be uplifting. And what about a few new comedy shows to make us laugh.
Not working since iOS 17 update
Only loads occasionally - mostly not at all. Please could you check out. Very frustrating as the app worked fine before iOS 17 update.
