I find Sounds very difficult to navigate. If I manage find what I’m looking for, I can’t seem to rewind to something I missed. I have no idea how to delete a programme I don’t like so it keeps popping up when I look for something new. There are more issues and I know that my friends, I’m in my 60s and listen to a lot of radio, find exactly the same
The Best Radio App
Undeniably the best radio app out there. The way the interface is laid out makes it easy to find what you’re looking for very quickly. it’s also possible to tune into a live program halfway, then slide back to the start so you don’t have to miss anything! That’s amazing technology. Unfortunately, I can only give it five stars, if there were 10, it would get a ten!
BBC sounds
Congratulations for all those busy creating this app. A long waiting solution for listening from abroad, since BBC LW, and MW were interrupted in The Netherlands;
now, with even more options available, that was not possible years back.
No info about the episode
I like being reminded of the performers in the episode. There's no extra info apart from the name of the program.
Just the best library of sounds
When your eyes are tired from working on screen all day, the last thing you want is do is to stare at another. Why not delve into the archive of the BBC. Whether it be crime drama, a seventies rock show or a timeless comedy like Yes Minister or After Henry one is taken back with ones eyes rested. But it is not only nostalgia, there is a freshness to the offering too. Young and new playwrights are aired, new podcasts and curated music add to the mix. Long live the BBC and remember the license fee is worth every penny.
No alarm clock function
The BBC Sounds app doesn’t have the alarm clock function the BBC Radio app had.
To listen and switch there are too many clicks.
Is stable and works well.
