Neatly organised app. Highlighting of podcasts is very good. Clear speakers.

ITunes is better

ITunes is a much better platform. Appalling that BBC is now intentionally releasing content late on iTunes forcing us to use Sounds. Ultimately an own goal as I’m sure it will cost bbc podcasts lister numbers and benefit their rival podcasts.

Documentaries

The coming storm This is a documentary but it is also very good entertainment. It tries to be as balanced as possible . To a substantial degree it focuses on the “new”Republican party’s “reformation “ into a largely populist political movement, it is inevitably open to accusations of bias.It does something which is fairly rare, it is thought-provoking. It is a documentary which be looked back at in 10 years to see how prescient it is in its observations. The coming storm is but one of many entertaining and informative documentaries available on the BBC sounds app. I recommend them to all radio listeners

The sound level is too low

I have already turn my volume to the highest level but the sound is still very small when I am listening through headphones. I wish you could raise the volume of the original output.

I grumbled when the app changes , as all Middle Ages people do. However , it is fantastic, much easier to navigate and the BBC content always fabulous. Love Newsday, Newsroom, Business Matters , Weekend , the real story Here in HK we are bombarded with CNN and Fox, and they are so biased and US centric Bravo BBC world service Best Regards, Tony Mid levels Hong Kong

Whilst I am thoroughly enjoying this I find it much harder to manoeuvre through to choose different programmes or channels Instructions are poor and it is hard at times to know what to do I rely so much on BBC to get me through the night. I have bad arthritis which wakes me and after a short stroll to get the limbs moving I return to bed and turn onBBC for a timed programme or series and fall asleep again. I am unable to do this easily now We need clearer instructions to use it

BBC Sounds review

I use bbc sounds mainly for the daily service and Sunday Worship . Please pass on my gratitude to the daily service team especially. I felt disappointed that it was moved from its place on Radio 4, after so many years, onto Radio 4 Extra. It seemed and felt like it had been sidelined, demoted even onto a station that replays old programs as though it was not considered very important any more. I believe it is the oldest running radio program in the world. Surely, it should have very high priority… However, I am pleased that we still can be encouraged through the readings, worship and reflections on God’s Word -to bring the peace that only He can give - over the airwaves in our United Kingdom 6 days each week throughout every year. Praise God and Thank you bbc sounds.
