Frustrating User Experience: Key Features Need Improvement
I've been using the Blinkist app for over a month now, and while I appreciate the concept of accessing many book summaries, I've encountered several issues that hinder the overall experience: 1. Removing books in progress: This feature doesn't work as expected. Despite attempting to remove them, the books still remain in the list. 2. Invisible queue: The app allows adding books to a queue, but this queue is not visible anywhere. It's frustrating because this hidden queue is used to play books in a playlist, which I can't see or manage. 3. Random book playback: Books seem to play randomly. When I have books in progress, I expect them to be played sequentially. Instead, after finishing a book, the app randomly plays another book that I didn't save or intend to listen to next. 4. Removing saved books: Removing books from the saved list doesn't work in some menus. It only seems to work when I am inside the book details page. 5. Inability to remove finished books: I should have the ability to manage my lists fully, including removing books that I have finished. 6. Syncing issues between app and website: The saved books and books in progress lists are not synced between the Blinkist app and the Blinkist website, causing confusion and inconsistency. 7. Swipe functionality for adding/removing books: Users should be able to swipe right or left to add or remove books, rather than needing to tap on the three dots menu. 8. Visibility and management of the queue: Add visibility to see the hidden queue and provide the ability to manage it. 9. Multiple flags for books: Allow books to have multiple flags, such as being saved in a collection while also being tagged as finished. These issues make it particularly troublesome to use the app while driving, as I can't afford to fiddle with the app instead of focusing on the road. I believe an app like Blinkist should have its core functionalities—playlists, saving, and removing books—working seamlessly. Please address these issues and ensure thorough testing before releasing
