This app has so much potential to help people with ADHD. I love the routines and how good it would be at keeping me on track if the notifications actually worked! I have reached out to support a few times now and still have not received any help so I unfortunately won’t be able to use this great app. All of the sudden I stopped getting notifications for my routines, all my settings on my phone and in the app are set to allow them. As someone with ADHD I need those reminders in order to be able to stick to my routines, but without them it’s kind of useless. If the support team were to have actually looked into my issue maybe they could have fixed it but I instead just got a sorry this isn’t working for you and never any follow up past that. Hopefully in the future this can be addressed and I will 100% subscribe again!
As someone with ADHD. This has been a great app to use so far. The idea of having awards and achievements keeps me engaged and focused to reach my goals. Id like to suggest to the devs if they read this, a way to add bonus stars if you did something outside routine if you completed the task a day ahead. Otherwise this app has kept me productive and something I really need
In many ways this is a great app. I certainly found it helpful as someone with ADHD. And I understand the need to charge a monthly subscription. But the price point is nuts. $70 for a year (Cdn) is almost twice the price of competitive apps. And some are much less. And these other apps have Apple Watch integration as well. I like the interface, but not at this cost.
I love this app. It’s helped me so much!!!!
Love the interface and I really wanted this app to work for me, but I need to be able to keep track of how long it actually takes me to do tasks and keep records so I can adjust my routine. Having a poor sense of how long it takes to complete tasks is a huge part of time blindness. The negative number when you go overtime isn’t helpful either, it would be much more helpful to have the total time (or both) you’ve spent on the task so far but in red. Another useful feature that other apps have is being able to set the end time for the routine and the start time adjusts automatically. It would also be nice to have some sort of sidebar overview of the entire routine that is visible while doing the routine. For this reason, I’ll be sticking with the Routinist app for now even though its interface isn’t as appealing.
So far the ideas look great. I am having trouble selecting the right icons, though, as the bottom 2-3 rows of icons selected by a search (when there are enough to need to scroll) are covered by the keyboard, which can’t be dismissed, making it impossible to select those at the bottom of the scroll. Not a huge problem, of course, but limits available icons.
This app is loaded with good potential. It’s a great idea and truly does work to get my scatty brain to do the things. I like the premade routines and that you can modify them to fit what you need. Now the things that I truly hope they improve. It’s a $50/ year app but it feels a little bit like they’re still beta testing. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve finished the last thing on the routine list and marked it done but then closed the app and went on with my day and didn’t wait around for the final screen to come around. The next time I open the app it’s still there, saying I didn’t finish it. When I re-finish it, it puts on the calendar that I finished my go to bed routine at 6:30 am the following day. Also, you’re supposed to be able to rearrange your tasks in your routine while you’re in the routine but this has never worked for me despite multiple tries. Finally, if you take longer to finish your routine than normal, when you finish it, your end time is right on the calendar but your start time is not. Honestly, it seems like a ton of money for what it does. Like way too much. But it’s the only app I know of that does what it does so I guess you have to pay what they ask. Maybe I should have done more research.
I found this app and was curiously excited to use it. I went in and added all the routines I currently have and was excited to add more. Slightly geeked out setting them up because I love adding color coding/icons/etc to anything. I have severe combined ADHD and really loved this at the beginning. I used it for about a week before one day, I went to open the app and I’m suddenly blocked by a paywall. Can’t even access or see any of my routines. I’ve seen the developers responses to this exact complaint and it appears that they feel this is completely justified. I don’t think the app is truly worth the price listed ($8 monthly or $50 yearly) considering the plethora of issues and lack of options noted in the other negative reviews. Feels greedy in my opinion, and reiterates the same sentiment that rings true in so many areas throughout our country (USA) that if you don’t have money to shell out, you don’t deserve to function well. I’ve deleted the app and will continue looking for something more affordable and useful.
I’m loving this app so far. I’ve tried many routine apps, but I really enjoy the UI of Brili Routines. Easy to use. Easy to build your own routines and adjust pre-existing Brili routines to your needs. The one thing I’d change is that if you postpone a task in your routine that the time you’ve spent on it doesn’t get reset to zero. I could see how some users might want it to be reset, so in that case maybe there could be a choice in the settings for each user to decide for themselves.
