Compared to Apple's Calendar the GUI is somewhat clearer in most respects but it cannot accept PDF attachments and occasional engagements do not sync.
It says login failure with google.. there is nowhere to enter password, iOS and gmail are all logged in.. tried to troubleshoot. Not worth my time… if doesn’t start working I’ll just move on.
This app works great. Importing all my other calendars into one spot was a breeze and I love the interface. It also can be used with my Apple Watch, which is something I cannot get through Google Calendar. The only thing I don’t really understand is tasks. How is it that I cannot set a repeating task? I feel like this is such a basic feature that is present in most calendar apps, yet for this one, is it not possible? I have heard that using the desktop app allows this change, but it makes setting weekly tasks a pain. Sure, I could just set it up as an event instead and have that repeat every week at the time that I need, but that defeats the purpose of even having tasks in the first place. I’d love to know if there’s some kind of work around or if I am mistaken and am doing something wrong. Because as of now, I can only see myself using the default Reminders app and having that work in conjunction with BusyCal.
October 2024: Just finished reloading the app onto my iOS devices. Left for a while when they went to a subscription model - back because they abandoned it. Tried Fantastical for a couple years, but was glad to come back to BusyCal. As one of only a few calendar apps that properly integrates todos/tasks, so thankful to BusyMac for bringing their incredible app from the desktop to the mobile. Great work!
If you have a loaded calendar it takes forever to sync and really doesn’t work that well, at least it seems with google .
It's really good in terms of customization and usability. Two main things that bother me are: 1. Hiding Google's annoying part of the event description that it inserts automatically with Google Meet details (everything after ::~~). 2. Lack of the ability to quickly see my colleague's calendar when scheduling a meeting. Like Google Calendar app does.
Works very well, and I really like having most of the excellent Mac version’s functionality and flexibility in iOS so I can avoid the (pointlessly divided) Apple equivalents on both platforms. And the brand new Widget choices are great! Also worth noting: the devs are incredibly responsive and helpful.
This App should be called Calendar Brick. Nothing works. I can’t enter any calendar entries. The calendar screens in this app might as well be screenshots. It says I have no event calendar, for example, but I see no path to set one up. If there is some magic configuration required, I don’t see what it is. Help not helpful. No email for support. All I want is a simple solo calendar app for iOS. No syncing. No connection to other services (other than Apple Calendar). No integration with location or contacts. Maybe there is a bug that it needs these permissions or sync to other calendars to work at all? (If so why?) This app is completely useless for me.
It does everything I need a calendar app to do, except sync the colors of specific events between the macOS app and iOS app.
