Cisco Jabber Reviews

Jabber will not work on the iPhone 17.

Does not stay connected unless the app is open

Not sure what wrong with the latest version but Jabber will not stay connected in the background - so calls do not come through unless you keep the app open. This really needs to be resolved.

Garbage app

Saw It in DC on

United States

1. Cisco refuses to fix a problem that has been ongoing for several years — Jabber will not ring unless the app is active (ok), but it must be the focus and the phone can not be in sleep mode. 2. It has just come to my attention that my work voicemail (Jabber) is picking up calls to my PERSONAL CELL PHONE NUMBER. Do not blame the call forwarding setting on my cell phone — it is off and has ALWAYS been off! I HATE this garbage app and the fact that Cisco refuses to fix problems!

Worthless

This app is completely worthless. Calls don’t come through unless the app is open and you are checking it every 15 minutes to make sure you are logged on.

Cisco Only App

This app doesn’t work for me due to it wanting to connect to Cisco systems. I have my own XMPP host thank you. The first privacy invading thing it did was send my login credentials to them! 🤯🤬

Doesn’t support the newest IPhone update

Very frustrating that the app doesn’t support the newest iPhone update. Great app if you are running older IOS versions.

Worst app a company has ever forced me to use

Good god. This app just doesn’t work. I’ve tried relentlessly for a day now to login and it just won’t work. Even when I “connected” to IM it doesn’t show any of my chats and it keeps disconnecting anyway. What a nightmare, thankfully we’re moving to teams soon.

Doesn’t work with iPhone

Paperbag11 on

United States

This was working okay for a while but maybe there was an update to iPhone or the app… I no longer can receive calls using this app on my phone. I work hybrid and rely on the app (per my company’s mandate) to forward my office line to my cell without having 100’s of people see my personal information. Before now, people would see my personal information when I call them, which was awful. But now I can’t even receive their calls at all. It goes straight to an email of the voicemail file that I have to play without any scrubbing or ffw/rev functions. Of course there is literally no way to trouble shoot this without being a coder and my company simply blames it on those of us using iPhones. Support groups say the same. I wish Cisco would get with the program and make any attempt to fix any part of these concerns.

Buggy. Doesn’t work as stated on Apple Watch

JimmyZLA on

I see tons of cool things you can supposedly do with this app and Apple Watch. Too bad none of them work. Spent days on the phone with Cisco to get MRA and Jabber working, but no one to even talk to about this. Doesn’t even show whose calling, just the icon while my phone rings.
