Description

Clear Fear provides you with a range of ways to manage the symptoms of anxiety.

Developed by a clinician co-collaboratively with young people, Clear Fear uses a Cognitive Behavioural framework to help you change anxious thoughts and emotions, alter anxious behaviours and calm fear responses. It also has helpful descriptions of the different ways in which anxiety presents, resources and a 'grit box' to boost resilience.

It is recommended for the ages of 11-19 years but can be used by a younger group with the support of a parent or carer.

Clear Fear compliments, but does not substitute for the assessment and ongoing support of a mental health professional.

Clear Fear Reviews

Excellent tools

MasterChicken192 on

While I do not use this app a lot it possesses excellent goals and resources to help reduce anxiety. I got this to help my ocd and while it’s not going to cure you, it can offer excellent tips to make progress on coping with mild to moderate anxiety.

very good, want to see more!

justanunimportantperson on

United States

i found this app while actually looking for ways to deal with overstimulation associated with autism and ADHD. though this is not the direct purpose, i found this app to be extremely accessible and intuitive to use with a lot of grounding tools to help me when i’m feeling overwhelmed. i would love it if the developers of this app considered the idea of an app meant to be used by people who deal with a lot of issues in regards to stimulation. it’s not often that you see such a straightforward approach to mental health, and this sort of treatment should be available to all kinds of people.

Great game helped calm me down

jup the cat on

United States

I liked this game very much, and someone had recommended it to me and it helped a lot to calm me down during panic attacks. I also loved all the options to “clear your fear” like the mindfulness and joke box 🥳 My only complaint was that there wasn’t many activities besides the breathing one and the other ones I listed. Otherwise, great game!

Friendly Interface - Needs Android Compatibility

EmmEnnBee on

Friendly interface. Easy to understand. Some apps are too overwhelming with how they use metrics. This app is no pressure. I’m an adult (31) and it works great for when I’m really feeling low. I am also a mental health worker and use this as a teaching tool for some of my youth. Thank you for your quality app. I wish it was compatible for Android. Most youth I work with cannot afford an iPhone.

Simple yet effective

I would highly recommend this app for anyone looking to learn the basics of coping with fear and anxiety. It makes me calm just knowing I have this app available at my fingertips to use when I need it.

It’s a good app

It’s a good app but logs you out every time.

Never saves my info or anything I put down?

Does anyone else have the problem of when you go to sleep and wake up all of your stuff is deleted?

Fix this and I’ll give 5stars

eeried16 on

The only issue I have with the app is that every time I open it I have to fill out the information again as if I just got the app. It still has my safety net contacts saved and my things I can do list, but I have to basically re-create my profile every time I open the app, and for someone with anxiety who may need immediate help, this is not a good thing. Other than that this has been an amazing tool so far for managing my anxiety.

Perfect support for OCD

Poetry/sciencelover on

United States

I have OCD, and I’ve been having trouble finding a good app to help calm me down between therapy sessions. Some apps help you deal with panic attacks, others have you set long term goals. This is both! There are activities for emotional support, but also areas to reflect and build a support net. There is so much stuff it’s rather confusing at first, but once you explore it’s very helpful.
