Description

This app for iPhone and iPad will give you an unprecedented level of command and control over your 2014 or later model year network ready Denon AV Receivers (due to hardware differences, older models are not supported with this app. Please check the model compatibility list below; if your model is not listed, please download our previous “Denon Remote App”). Along with many new features, the graphics and user interface have been completely overhauled.
Control the basic functions of your Denon product with power, volume, input and settings.
Network browsing is either done within the Denon AVR Remote app or depending on model by selecting HEOS network as input which opens the HEOS app automatically.
With the Denon AVR Remote, your iOS device just became an integral part of your home entertainment experience.

*1: A firmware update for your Denon product is may be needed, please update the firmware via the system setup menu. *2: Please set "Network Control" to "ON" in your product via the system setup menu to use this app. (Network > Network Control)
*3: The OS language setting is automatically detected; when not available, English is selected.

slow and can't find AVR on the same network

It wasn't fast but now is slooow and can't find the AVR on the same network, where nothing changed.. unuseable, I assume much more from serious vendor, but this is shame.

Needs lots of improvement

I use it with an AVC-X3800 receiver. The quality and feature set of the app is quite in contrast with those of the receiver. It’s a shame and disappointing. The app lacks many setting opportunities available in the receiver. Available settings are incomplete, for example the level of background height speakers is not adjustable, simply missing (options menu) as if it was a 7.1 receiver. Other quality issue is that the chosen quick select sound mode is not updated on the screen, it always displays quickselect 1 regardless of which one is really selected.

Default start sources select

It would be nice to have software to choose which sources to start by default. (eg sat / cbl, Media player ... etc) thank you

Unusable

The app doesnt work

Almost immediately freezes after launch

Very bad app, after launching on my iPad Air 2 and finding/connecting the AVR I can usually click on one or sometimes two buttons, but after that the app freezes and becomes totally unresponsive. Unworthy of Denon's name. Could not figure out how to force this useless app to operate.

Quit

Unfortunately, when I go to Audio, graphic EQ, the application quits. Everytime. On ipad 9.7" newest iPadOS, iPhoneSE newest iOS.

Still buggy...

This app would be very useful if it didn’t contain some really annoying bugs. It can’t handle sound mode properly, for instance despite Pure Direct is selected on the AVR, this app shows Music as the selected sound mode. For some reasons time to time I get network error as well...
