eCrew – AIMS Native Mobile app for Apple devices.

Specifications, Features, and Characteristics:

The official eCrew app from AIMS International, is offered free of charge to all crew from all airlines which are powered by the AIMS Airline software.

With great emphasis on speed, data security, and a brand new interface optimized for mobiles and tablets, the eCrew app will greatly speed up the process by which you will review your crew schedule.

Fresh and friendlier UI, in line with commonly used platforms, allowing for easy interaction and navigation.

Technical Specifications:

Minimum iOS version 11

Once downloaded, crew will be requested to enter the necessary details in order to register the device with his/her personal account.

Required info:

- eCrew site
- Crew ID
- Personal Password

Biometric authentication is now available

This eCrew app version is clearly laid out, efficient to use, aesthetically pleasing and includes the most widely used features.

Worst Crew app!

I don’t understand how airlines choose to use this app. Bad design, constant errors, not user friendly at all. Its a shame, since the old ecrew is was very good.

Lousy and useless

Unfortunately forced to use this app. Totally useless, only works online, if it works it is too slow. The duty sheet is confusing, it has two different icons with different settings. For biddings you can’t quickly go to next roster period, just user unfriendly

Terrible user interface

Article 5 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights states; “No one shall be subjected to torture or to cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment.” - That‘s why this app should be taken offline from the appstore.

Unusable on Mobile device

This App is close to unusable. It‘s not intuitive at all, lacking the overview of what you really need to know (your roster). Furthermore if you follow the link to E-Crew Portal for the Preferential Bidding System at least on a mobile phone all the different entry windows blocking each other and are so small that it is impossible to make an entry. The link to the data protection policy for „AIMS of America“ doesn‘t work. If pilots would fly the way this App was designed people on the ground should start wearing helmets all the time.

Simply horrible !

If I wasn’t forced by my company to use this app exclusively, it wouldn’t last more than a minute on my phone! Horribly slow, defaulting to whatever date it feels like, no monthly overview, frequent error messages with calendar upload, etc. etc. etc.. Are you serious to roll out an app like that in 2023???

Counterintuitive and unpractical

Poorly designed app which is not helpful at all.

Is there any worse software around?

Definitely the worst app I have come across in my career. No proper offline version, functionality questionable, overall user experience just bad, sorry to say. Please refer to other apps on the market, that are at least able to provide you with a proper landscape mode of your current roster in a 31 day time frame (iAims anyone?). NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL!

Don't waste your time

Far too confusing and time-consuming for the daily requirements (destination, crew, times). Hardly usable offline (i.e. in the aircraft). AIMS access via other apps is simply much easier, better designed and tailored to the crew's requirements.

Format unsuitable for pilots‘ demands

I have used iAIMS for many years and what made it the best experience is the calendar format. With one look one knew the roster overview for the whole month. ECrew App is far below that standard. Overview with dates and times is not nicely presented, lacking the big picture. I would absolutely not recommend this App.

Not very user friendly

The app is, in comparison to iAIMS, very user unfriendly. It doesn’t give a good overview, neither for the month, the week or day…not even for your day trip. In other applications you get many information in one view without clicking, scrolling, checking etc …. Not recommendable at all, sorry!!!
