Hola! We are an Irish couple (Jane and Brian) living in Spain and learning Spanish. We started Ella Verbs as we were looking for a way to improve our Spanish verbs and make the jump from intermediate to advanced speakers. We tried many ways to improve our Spanish grammar (books, apps, tutors – you name it, we tried it!), but never found the one that clicked. So we built it!

We aren’t your typical Spanish flashcards or verb trainer app. Our philosophy is “learn, quiz, repeat”. We teach you, then quiz you and then surface content again when you need it most. It’s been proven that quizzing helps with concentration, identifying gaps in knowledge and long term retention (Roediger & Karpicke, 2006). Because it's just the two of us, we personally read and respond to every feedback email and review. So if you have an idea, issue, question or whatever, please get in touch! Fabulous app

I’m absolutely loving this app. Brilliant way to learn to conjugate verbs. Easy to navigate, easy on the eye. Best app yet.

Fantastic Spanish Verb App

Ella Verbs is such an amazing app, it has really helped me improve my Spanish quickly. The paid version is a fantastic option and I would really recommend it. It's given me an excellent way to practice my Spanish daily, with great ways to learn. Also their speedy responses with any App questions makes this a winning app when learning a new language.

Just what I needed

Like the old beer advert - reaches the parts that Du*l*ngo can’t teach.

Totally Amazing

I honestly just love everything about this app. From being able to choose exactly which verbs / tenses you want to focus on, to being able to just do a short quiz on the go, with so many options. AND it works in offline mode when there’s no signal (super helpful while travelling). The explanations are nice and simple and the app is extremely well laid out and intuitive to use. I really don’t know what I would have done without it. Its helped my Spanish no end in locking in those pesky verb tenses! Thoroughly recommend to everyone learning Spanish.

Just beginning

I decided to swap from Duolingo to Ella verbs because I don’t want to learn South America Spanish but southern Spanish! I haven’t been doing Ella Verbs for very long but I must say that the support given in order for me to set up the app to suit my family has been amazing! I have always received a reply and usually within one or two days which is fantastic! Highly recommend Ella verbs. Thank you.

A brilliant app!

I didn’t realise how much this app offered until I opened it on my ipad. It’s just brilliant and has really helped with my learning. I am steadily working my way through all the quizzes and it makes my other learning apps/software make much more sense. Worth every penny

Brilliant app to improve Spanish

This app is brilliant! Verb conjugations are something I needed to improve on and this app is the best I’ve found to help with this. It explains everything very well and I love the interactive platform where you can test yourself as many times as you like. I very rarely pay for apps but this app is very affordable and worth every penny! Thank you so much, I’m so glad I found this app! Highly recommended to anyone looking to improve verb conjugations

Excellent App!

I love the Ella Verbs app! I have always found Spanish verbs tricky and this app has been very helpful with being able to focus on verb tenses and conjugation. I like how I can quickly and easily switch between the different tenses and practice them. There are clear explanations and examples and the app is very user friendly. It is great for all age levels and abilities. Learning Spanish can seem very overwhelming and I like how Ella Verbs is supportive and easy going. Ella Verbs is very well designed. It is one of the best language apps I have come across. It has some fabulous features and tabs. I like how it can be switched from light to dark theme. Custom quizzes are very flexible and can be modified to various settings and I like how the app has a very helpful verb dictionary tab. Thank you Jane and Brian!
