Disconnects from Chromecast far too quickly, swap apps and it’s gone. I routinely end up playing things on my phone rather than the Chromecast. Especially infuriating when the TV is still showing the episode/movie splash screen
Happy long time Emby user.
The current rating is completely unjustified IMO. Emby has always been reliable and the iOS app is no different.
Not usable
Apple TV 4k:
Audio sync is terrible
App froze up in first few minutes of use
Wanted to like this. Hope they fix and improve their QA. This should never have been released in its current form.
As an evaluator trying for a month, can’t see me using it beyond that.
Why was I charged for an app that does not work

Why all the hate?
This app needs some love in a review, so here's some.
I am a long time client of another leading media app, who I won't, name, that started off being the app for the home user and turned into money grabbing bloatware.
Emby is still the app and server for the home media fan. They have a lively and responsive forum where the developer team are active and their "Instant Mix" feature is every bit as good as Apple's genius, in my opinion.
I'm a big fan of Emby in general, it's only a few dollars to buy the app and it has always worked well for me.
