Emby Reviews

Works out of the box

vandalen.dev on

Haven’t had any issues with Emby. Everything seems to work out of the box. I don’t mind having to pay for some things to support the development of the apps 🫶

Auto play next episode

Dark Angel X2 on

Netherlands

This review is about Emby app on Apple TV device. Play next episode automatically, but I have disabled it, because I hate this auto play next episode… but IT still auto play next episode while it is disabled!!! I have checked this option in my account on server… I see it is disabled, so I found a bug. Please fix it!

Highjacking

Emby tries to sell you your own content. For a fee you can access your own media files on your own server.

Nice on Windows

EddyNL on

Netherlands

Works really nice on Windows, only downfall is that it doesnt install as a service.. I use the NFO metadata option with metadata apps such as MediaElch to have nice movie info / fanart. Can recommend it!

Paying to view your own homevideos... idiots

I need to pay a subscription fee to playback my own media on my own devices? How about no

Resuming doesn’t work for me

Knackebröd on

Netherlands

Whenever I’m pausing a tv show while viewing it on Chromecast, the app doesn’t let me restart it. I have to force quit the app and reconnect. Kind of annoying!🙁

Loses connection via Chromecast

MacFreak69 on

Netherlands

Two stars is many a bit much, should really be only one star. This app loses connection all the time when playing via Chromecast. When you switch over to another app for a minute or more, you have to kill the app, relaunch the app, re-connect to chromecast and resume playing the video. Also, there are too many settings and menu's aren't intuitive at all. I'm using it, because there isn't any descent alternative...

Fall out

Max1n3.Elesia on

Netherlands

So I really love the app. But there is a problem. After a while the app just falls out. Now it isn't that much of a problem if the app does that for, let's say one time a day. But it happens multiple times in one episode. I hope that you guys will look at what is causing it. Because it is really irritaiting sometimes.
