Much much faster and feature stable vs using Plex. Just does what it does well. The developer isn’t constantly trying to force C-grade streaming movies on you. Support small developers.

So far the app has been OK. VisionOS support is needed for full experience on Vision Pro.

Unfortunately the app is getting more and more unreliable over time. It used to be very stable, now it crashes if you look at it wrong. The first time i switch to picture in picture, it continues to play. If I go back into the app, or it plays the next video in sequence, the next time I leave the app it will crash and stop playing. Touching the screen used to bring up the on-screen controls and continue playing. Now it just pauses the video and brings up the controls. This is an incredibly annoying change, and there's no option to go back to the previous behavior. Want to go back ten seconds because you missed something? Now you touch the screen, it pauses, you hit the jump back button, and then you have to hit play again. The controls stay on screen until you wait for them to timeout - you can't touch the screen to get rid of them anymore, because it'll just pause and reset the timeout before the controls disappear again. Who QAs this? It's getting worse and worse over time.

Why does the app try to charge me Emby premium to watch my own content on this client specifically? Charging for the client depending on the client is wrong imo

I have never used an app that did so little to explain its use and value. I will never know if your app is useful.

I like this native app very much, including its function, page layout, style and color. But its video playback interface is a mess, and gestures are very, very difficult to use! If you can fill this part of the short board, this will be a perfect app. I won't give advice on the playback interface and gesture optimization. There are a lot of great video apps out there, such as Fileball and Infuse. Whenever a developer makes a refresher in this area, the user experience will be greatly improved.
