Verwendet in Indien

Nachdem ich es bei einem anderen eSIM Anbieter probiert hatte und es nicht geklappt hat, habe ich es mit Global Yo versucht. Und es hat sofort funktioniert! Ich bin super zufrieden! Auch der Support hat mit das Geld für eine eSIM erstattet, die ich aus versehen gekauft hatte. Wenn ich wieder im Ausland bin, werde ich direkt bei Global Yo buchen :)

eSIM is not working

Unfortunately, the eSIM is not working for me. There is no customer service. No one helps me, no one answer my questions. My recommendation is to pay a bit more and get a proper service.

I bought a esim for 30$ and its unable to activate. Even though my phone can use esim! Support is not answering for 48h. SCAMMERS

SCAM - E-SIM nutzlos, da kein Datenanruf erfolgt!

Die E-SIM konnte zwar problemlos installiert werde. Auch das Datenpaket konnte aktiviert werden, aber im Endeffekt verbindet sich die E-SIM nicht mit dem Datennetzwerk des lokalen Providers. Hier in Costa Rica ist die E-SIM auch nach mehreren Stunden total nutzlos. Der Support meldet sich - natürlich - auch nicht zurück. Auf zwei unterschiedlichen Geräten dasselbe Problem. Im Internet finden sich zahlreiche ähnliche Berichte. Da ich schon mit anderen Anbietern solche E-SIM genutzt habe, muss ich wohl oder übel von einem Betrug ausgehen.

Nahezu Nutzlos in Marokko

Prinzipiell funktioniert der Erwerb und das Aktivieren der E-Sim recht simpel. Fehler den wahrscheinlich viele machen: Versuch die ESim im Heimatland (also vor dem Urlaub) zu aktivieren - das funktioniert nicht weil nicht im ausländischen Netz. Dann wird die ESIM einfach mal gelöscht - hinzufügen kann man diese aber nicht mehr. Also Füße still halten und warten bis man im jeweils gebuchten Ausland ist. Dann lässt sich die SIM aktivieren - oder z.B. in Deutschland hinzufügen und NICHT wieder löschen. Nachricht vom iPhone ignorieren, dass die E-Sim nicht aktiviert werden kann und dann im gebuchten Ausland einfach die Phone Line aus und anschalten, dann wird die ESIM final aktiviert. Soweit so einfach. In Marokko wird der Anbieter Orange verwendet. Nicht die beste Abdeckung, aber okay. Jetzt zu dem eigentlichen Problem: Sämtlicher Traffic, den man in Marokko generiert, wird über die Niederlande geroutet und hier scheint ein Nadelöhr zu sein, weil der Anbieter seine Kapazitäten over-selled. Das Netzwerk (Organge) gibt also genug Bandbreite her, nur die angemieteten Server vom Anbieter brechen tagsüber unter der Last nahezu zusammen. Seitenaufbau auf einem Mobiltelefon circa 10-20 Sekunden, während mit einer normalen Orange-Sim Karte in einem 2. Handy die Seite sofort lädt. Bis morgens um circa 8 oder 9 Uhr funktioniert es noch, danach ist alles hoffnungslos überlastet. Ich kann daher nur von dem Anbieter abraten solange dieser nicht ausreichend Bandbreite zur Verfügung stellt. Dann lieber im Urlaub 5-10€ für einen anderen Anbieter ausgeben und sich nicht mega nerven, wenn auf einmal mitten in der Medina kein Google Maps mehr funktioniert trotz vollem LTE Empfang.
