Should not be a subscription
This app should be a one time purchase and not a subscription. After about two weeks you will see the exact same movements over and over. There is no new content, the only reason this app is a subscription is greed.

The app and the content of it are great there is a no say in that, hats off! The reason I’m giving here 4 stars is that I hate it that the app often crashes. For example, I started my flexibility did 2-3 forms and then something came up I had to pause my routine run the errand for 15-20min and then when I come back to the app the whole progress will be gone, not that I had to start everything from the beginning, but I wouldn’t even know what were the previously suggested movements. I wish they did some type of a history that would track what have I done for the past weeks and months and in this case if I have started one and then haven’t finished it, I would be able to go back to it. This app really deserves a 5 star and more, but not being able to store data or crashing too often is a huge disappointment for me, because having such a quality of content you definitely need to have good functionality.
Exercises are too hard for beginners. Also - the video is taken from one angle so you can't see a full view of some of the exercises.
Gowod is $14CAD a month for stretches that have 3 sentences of poor instruction below a video that cannot be restarted to see how to get in to a stretch. Once the video starts you need to wait anywhere from 1 to 3 minutes for it to restart to see how to start the stretch. How this app is rated so high on the app store is beyond me. When searching for a mobility app, this is always the top recommendation, and I'm baffled. The mobility test with score and areas to focus on it nice, it will even provide the stretches to improve, that's a cool feature... but it doesn't justify the cost. If this was a one time purchase I would rate it much higher, but this is $120CAD a year... It's insane. You can find the same stretches on YouTube with better explanations and a handy pause button. You could even look for a yoga pose that you cannot complete to test your mobility monthly against. I'm very disappointed.
The app has been helpful to working on my flexibility. I’d like to suggest it add in announcing the position when it’s starting. Sometimes I’m twisted up or hanging upside down on the wall and can’t see what’s next. Also connecting to Apple Health to track activity would be great too. Thanks
They will incentivize you to register for the same premium service on their site and charge your double (website in addition to the App Store) even if it’s all under the same account (e-mail). No billing information will be notified through e-mail. Totally unethical practice. What a scam!
Hands down the best app I have. I look forward to using it everyday and know that by continuing to use it, I am bettering myself.
No other app comes close to the details and exercises as this one. There is options for all stages of workout as well as specific flows for tight spots. The exercise library is vast and free. Premium subscription is fair and offers such personalized routines that I would recommend it to anybody at any level of fitness.
Ok, so the idea of this app is fantastic! I’ve only been using it for 14 days but I’ve learned so many new stretches and I seriously feel like I’m improving. I really want to give this 5 stars but there are a couple of things : 1. Many of the exercise explanations are lacking. I find myself unsure if I am doing something correctly a lot of the time. Please provide a more in depth explanation! 2. Some of the exercises are impossible for me to do in my daily protocol! Please provide an alternative button or a “I can’t do this” maybe something easier to get to the actually stretch? 3. I use this on my iPad and like to have it in landscape mode so I can see exactly what the teacher is doing. Unfortunately I can’t read the steps so I am constantly flipping it back and forth. Maybe have a voice over of what you should be doing so we don’t have to look up or read every single time? 4. The exercise data base is strange and lacking. Sometimes I am super tight in a certain body part and looking to stretch that area but I can’t find an exercise that corresponds with said muscle. Anyway. Aside from this I really enjoy this app! I think it looks great! The mobility yeast is awesome and the pre and post workout options are fantastic! Just need a little more refining :) thank you!!
The app now: - allows the phone to sleep in the middle of timed protocols - quits 20 mins into a protocol and gives you no time credit for completed mobility. App now is more aesthetically pleasing but functionally worse. Great job GOWOD. Def worth 15 bucks a month. NOT.
