Yes, HSBC for EG is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is HSBC for EG legit?
⚠️ The HSBC for EG app has poor ratings and negative feedback. Users seem unsatisfied with its performance or features.
I nearly give up to use it. I needed weeks to enter in. Had to call the Call Center at least 3 times, was blocked out several times, also when I perfectly remembered my passwords and credentials ( what is very dificult by this so many diferent passwords and credentials you have to put in in).
Finally I manage to get in withe the IPad (only with the help of the Call Center and it took us roundabout 30-40 mintues!!!!), now I try to make it run in my mobile and it is useless. It seems only running in 1 device? Also to login to check is not possible. NEVER and I repeat NEVER seen such a bad application!
I also tried to print out the current month. It is not possible. Only the last last one!
And finally (as I thought) - Yeah, I have it!! I get it to log it....one of the HSBC Apps shows: Sorry to bother, this is the old version please load in the APP Store the new version. Not an actualisation, a completely new App 🤦🏻♀️. There are so many international banks who have so so great App’s.... guys, ask them if you can copy something. Do a Benchmark 🤷🏻♀️ This is a really upsetting experience and online banking is important nowadays.
No developers in HK?
I believe HSBC is among the worst personal experiences I have ever had as a user with any company. Long queues, slow service, lots of paperwork, you have to call them to do many things that other banks can easily do online... and the app is an extension of that dated system.
Very old app
I have an iphone X but i need to input my username and two times a password Manu ally selecting the fields every time just to view my balance... I feel I'm back in the 90's can't believe this app is made from such a big bank to be honest. It's a joke
Horrible experience
The app is constantly blocked, it has been a month that I cannot do banking transfers from the app or just contact the bank via email. Worst bank app ever.
Everything but the customer in mind
Anything like reinstalling iOS or buying a new phone, and you’ll need to call them to set it up again, and if for some reason your internet banking gets locked, you will need to visit a branch, even if you’re abroad. So be careful where you put your money. Dreadful service.

Continuously blocks my account, making me to call the customer service to reactivate the account. Useless App.

Worst HSBC App
HSBC other countries have a nicer and speedy app, like UK, EU, UAE etc. this app is completely different to their interface and user experience.
Just terrible.
So so bad. Nothing makes sense. The communications on the app don’t agree to the letters you send me.
