Since the last update one month ago I’m no longer able to CAST from my ipad which is the manner I was previously using this app. When you select the CAST icon, it opens, then closes immediately before a selection of where to CAST can be chosen. Please fix.

Stupid app that requires in home wifi for certain channels to watch get rid of that garbage then app would be 5 stars should be able to watch anywhere no limits.

Closed captions are turn on automatically. When turned off, they go off/don’t . When you change channels closed captions turn back on without warning. This gets to be very annoying to switch it back off each time. There should be an option to turn it off. Should also have the ability to AirPlay.!

Terrible set up ! needs to connect to home wifi to watch live sport events

Can’t cast with Chromecast… This thing juts freezes constantly with a great WIFI or data signal…. The Ap is HOT garbage and it’s really frustrating… Why isn’t there a NO STARS option or and eighth of a star?

I would to see the app list 4K channels in the live TV guide. I understand that you can’t playback 4K so that is why the channels don’t appear. How about allowing them to show and disabling the watch button? This way I can setup a recording while outside the home.

04-Jun-2024 - I am having the problem with Ignite TV app on iPad with OS 17.5.1 - cast menu opens and immediately closes. Works fine on my iPhone and cast menu works fine with other apps on my iPad (NetFlix, Prime). Shaw needs to investigate. Update: Found in an Xfinity forum that Xfinity users were having the same issue with iPad cast menu on their Xfinity TV app and one user reported accidentally finding an interim fix that worked for me as well: Interim Solution: I use my iPad in landscape orientation but when I rotate to portrait the cast menu will stay open & I can select a device to cast to & it connects & works. After cast connecting is initiated (I didn’t have to wait for the connection to finish being setup) I can rotate back to landscape & use the rest of the features of the Ignite TV app. When I finish watching a show and with the iPad still in landscape orientation the cast menu will stay open when selected and I can select Stop Casting. Once disconnected from the device the cast menu then reverts to its previous immediately closing behavior but you can once again rotate to portrait to get the menu to stay open to connect to a device. Hope this works for others until Shaw fixes this issue.

Used to use this app quite frequently for casting from iPad through Chromecast to a larger display. Suddenly, the casting button no longer stays open to allow one to choose where to cast. Shaw support was of no use - yes, the iPad has the most current iOS, I removed and reinstalled the app, etc., etc. Still not working. Disappointing. Time for a provider change I guess.

As the title says as of the latest update the cast feature will not stay on the screen long enough to let you select a device to cast to, I’ve seen another user report the same issue 2 days ago, your support team are less than useless trying to blame google and the usual switch it off and on, try testing the bloody thing before releasing it. Works on iPhone but NOT iPad all O/S’s are up to date app re-downloaded, reboot etc etc… the cast function refuses to stay open **Edit** I did, they said someone will call back…. Crickets Btw it still doesn’t work, what did you change in the last update because that broke it **Edit 2** Ok so,after hours of trying to troubleshoot this issue, and Shaw support blaming everyone but themselves, I opened the app, tested again(on iPad) still doesn’t work, then I thought hmmm I wonder if it works in portrait (as I always use my iPad in landscape, apart from the Canadian tire app, cuz they don’t know how to rotate their app either) so flipped the iPad to portrait and hey presto it works!!! So much for the useless support team..

It’s been a few weeks now that the app is not allowing me to cast from my IPad. If I touch the link in the top corner, it drops down but won’t remain down long enough for me to choose a device. I can cast off of other apps but this one is hit or miss.
