Activation only takes a moment
You don’t need much to activate the app. Just a Dutch current account at ING, access to My ING and a valid identity document. This can be a passport, an ID card from the EU, an ID card for foreign nationals, a Dutch residence permit or a driver’s license.

Language setting

The language setting was a little bit buggy. On iPhone with hungarian region and language settings, the app stayed dutch. I must add the english to the used languages of the phone, set as default, then open the ING app. After this I was able to set back the hungarian language as default on my phone while the app stayed english.

Does not work with Hungarian number

When you try to add a Hungarian mobile phone number, which is 9 digits after the country code, it starts adding 6 to the front of. The number. Daphne, try to put a number yourself, you will see what is happening. Mobile precodes are normally 20-30-70 +7 digits Problematic for new students…

Hungarian phone number and tax number can not be typed.

Doesn’t work with Hungarian phone number

When I tried to add my Hungarian number, I couldn’t enter it because it started filling it up with many 6-es. Reply: yes it is a mobile number. I can’t add it when I am trying to create a new bank account. Just for help: the format of the hungarian mobile numbers is +36-xx-xxx-xxxx.

Buged horror

I can not even open an account, since when I want to add my phone number it autofills with “666666666” in the number firld what you can not delete without deleting your number from the field, so can not proceed.

Does not work with the hungarian system

The app does not work with the hungarian documentation system at all. There are textboxes that cannot be filled, the phone number box always types the number 6 for no reason at all, the app does not accept a valid european ID and each time something does not work, you have to restart the process from the start. Thanks ING for blocking 9 million people from using your app because of some lazy programming.
