Joggo Reviews

No option to cancel

Glendleyoung on

Canada

My subscription ran out and I’m trying to log in to cancel the subscription before it charges me again but my only options are to subscribe or lock out. Thankfully my card isn’t accepting the payments but it keeps trying to charge every couple days. I have zero ability to stop this app from trying to take my money.

There are better apps out there.

I tried this app and wasn’t crazy about the program I chose. I much prefer using Runna or even ASICS Runkeeper. Also, it would be nice if they added a reminder that your subscription is being renewed like other apps do. That said, I wrote asking for a full refund and they gave me back 25% for something I won’t even log into once in the next 4 months.

Check your subscription or will renew without approval.

Make sure that even if you remove your subscription from your iphone that you also do it in your account. They will renew without authorization.

You should just get Runna

Cedser on

Less features and more expensive than Runna. Just go get Runna. You'll waste your money and your time with this subpar product.

Don’t waste your money

This program was a waste of money. When I cancelled months in advance I found out it didn’t go through and was charged for 6 months for a program that didn’t work for me and left me looking for a better program that helped me get through a half marathon. There are better programs out there that cost nothing.

Challenge gets you going…

AMCMCD on

Canada

App has lots of fix ups to get done still but if you keep at it with the challenge and walk more than the scheduled routine to finish the 26mi, you can do it. I walked daily and more than the scheduled number of miles and I was able to complete the 26mi in less than a month. I emailed Joggo and got a response very quickly for my refund. I was asked to provide all the proof images of my subscription and runs which I did and promptly got my refund on my credit card. I was worried because of the reviews but stayed the course with my daily runs hoping to get a positive response to my request which I did. The app and the challenge have definitely helped me get on track for a 5k next spring. Good opportunity to get started.

Haven’t tried yet but misleading!

Red Hot Angel 69 on

What is with apps misleading by advertising monthly pricing and then charging the full 6 months - a year up front, WITHOUT saying that’s the case. I get you’ve said monthly / yearly but why doesn’t it say right there that’s it’ll all be charged at once - frustrating and VERY misleading.

It’s alright, but there’s better out there

I was seduced by the idea of being able to get a refund and free access to the app after running a certain number of kilometres. However, the challenge is virtually impossible for a new runner, as you need to complete those 42km in a month, which was, for me, highly unrealistic. Even if I did run a lot during that month, I would just have been prone to injuries from not getting enough recovery or pushing myself too much. I didn’t particularly like the plans, as I didn’t feel like it was super personalized. It’s really just a voice telling you to speed up or start walking. Nothing more. That was disappointing as well. I also ran during a trip to a cottage where I had no cell reception. I used my Apple Watch to track and figured the data would then carry over to the app. Well, it didn’t. That was also a let down. Overall, I chose to end my membership after the two months I initially signed up for. Since then, I’ve tried NRC and absolutely love it. The run is ACTUALLY guided and helpful. And it’s FREE.

Limited personal coaching

Wasn’t impressed with this app for the cost. You don’t receive a personalized plan, and the coaching feature is AI. The app assumes you’re running your planned run days but I often wasn’t able to run on those days and ended up running different days. The app would suggest a recovery day when really I needed more support for training. Also when running, I had glitches in the app that wouldn’t prompt me to slow down or cool down, etc. another dislike was that it sometimes skipped features while running. For example, run for 2 mins then walk a min. It would skip one of my runs and I’d get more confused when running. Again, not worth the price you pay.

Stay away from this app!!!

This app is poorly made, cheaply produced and terribly executed. The customer service is terrible on top of that. Treadmill runs track nothing, no pace, distance or elevation even if tracked on an Apple Watch, Garmin or other watches, you will have to manually input your stats. There will be no plan for treadmill users. Clearly some folks will use treadmill on some occasions. I requested a refund and was initially offered 50% of what I had paid and a link to the requirements for a getting a refund implying that they were doing me a great service because I did not meet these requirements. These requirements are that the app was proven faulty or did not perform as described. My response was that I had indicated that I was going to do most of my runs on a treadmill in the sign up process and this app does not perform as described. It is a running app and it does not track runs inside? I was then given a full refund. The subscription is autorenew but it isn’t clear that it is. The guidance is so basic it is just common sense, it’s not coaching. If you want a training plan don’t waste your money - go with the Nike Run Club, it’s free and flexible, it can track indoor runs with your watch or phone, the guided runs are motivating (and optional) and you’ll meet your goals. You can even get a pdf with more in depth information for each training program and again it’s free!
