Speakers are fantastic but app is mediocre
I have two Libratone Zipp 2 speakers and they are stunning. Wifi and Bluetooth are completely solid for me, they work flawlessly with AirPlay 2 and people can’t believe that the sound filling my living room is from two portable speakers.
Sadly the app is just really mediocre. It badly needs presets for speaker configuration. Splitting the speakers from a stereo pair and later rejoining them is something I do almost daily, it’s a convoluted process and it should be possible to do it with one click. There are settings for sound control for placement in the room, but it’s so painful to do it every time you move them between two locations.
Also there’s no way to initiate room correction from the app which is very irritating.
Avoid purchasing Libratone products!
I have the same problem many others do that the app does not recognise Bluetooth and Wifi are on. Contacted support and all they have to say is that they know their products are temperamental to wifi and act like it’s some sort of cute little idiosyncrasy and I need to contact my internet provider to change a bunch of settings. All of my other wifi products can connect and just work. Extremely disappointed at my useless purchases. Do not buy Libratone products!
Unable to connect device
Bought a Zipp 2, trying to use app to add the speaker, but it says I need to turn on wifi and Bluetooth except they are both definitely turned on and working already. Restarting the app doesn’t fix this. App is essentially useless.
Needs an account
Why do I need to create an account just to change the settings on my headphones. Get rid of this requirement, it’s ridiculous
