Hello,
I love the concept of an AI scheduler. To keep working on this to make it even more seamless.
I’m not really a big fan of the project management though. I dump all my tasks in TickTick and then link it to Motion via Zapier.
Would love it if you can make your mobile app run faster given the core feature I love is really only the auto scheduling, not so much anything else.
Cheers
Great concept, but needs improvements
I love the idea and it does help with getting things done because I don’t feel like I am forcing myself to complete tasks. Instead it feels like a little game/quest that the AI has scheduled for me to do.
Things to improve:
- countdown timer for a task that user has clicked on “start task” OR
ALERT notification that the time allocated on the task is up after clicking on “start task”.
ADHDers hyperfocus! No alert means we’ll keep going!
- mobile notification on upcoming task or time to start task?!
- ability to categorise tasks and set preference when auto-scheduling.
For eg. Mental tasks, physical tasks, boring tasks, household chores, etc. preference setting 1 physical task after 2 mental tasks, etc.
- AI suggestion on time needed to complete tasks.
ADHDers’ time blindness hellooooo? I realise I epicly struggle to select and estimate how much time to complete tasks.
For eg. Writing a 2000 word essay or work on presentation deck: I probably need time to do research, write, proofread, improve and finalize but I have no idea how much time would be needed.
- auto-schedule breaks in each day!
- template tasks like (drink water, shower, go toilet, laundry, etc.)
- iPad app please!!!
I have an iPad and I would like to create my tasks and do some planning in the night on my bed before sleeping, but the mobile app is not enough and yet iPad has no app. I also don’t want to lug my laptop with me to the bed!
Put a lot of thought into this review, hope the developers actually read and consider.

Not compatible with iPad
Please make it compatible with iPad. I actually liked the idea of auto-scheduling, it helps alot. But preferably able to use with iPad. Lastly, there's no notifications for tasks even though I turned on the notifs.
Best productivity app
Saves me so much time with all my tasks planned for me. Saves my brain from analysis paralysis!
Desktop and App Does Not Sync
The desktop and app does not sync calendar views. I had to spend a lot of time figuring out how to use Motion. It is not very user-friendly for folks who do not usually use complex task management tools.
Has potential, needs updates
Been using motion for 3 months now. I first started using motion cos I was attracted by the whole AI related sales pitch. Noticed flaws at the start, but was willing to overlook them because id assumed the devs would gradually roll out updates. But so far, nothing significant yet!! Definitely has potential, but the UI needs to be WAYYYY better. For example tasks created on mobile cannot be edited on PC. It’s also small things like adding travel time to tasks and events that will go a long way to improving this app. It’s very good, has lots of potential, but excavation needs improvement. Migrating to google calendar if this persists
Very buggy and hard to use.
The interface of the app is not user friendly at all, extremely difficult to use if you are trying to set your schedule to anything but the default settings.
Barely even gave me an option to set my personal schedule as I don’t work a regular 9-5 and work in a shift rotation - something I had imagined this app would help me with organising but alas it was completely unsuitable for this.
Advertised as something good for organising personal schedules but seems extremely focused on corporate / team scheduling.
Awkward and difficult to use the main site which is the only site where you can do anything, mobile app very limited.
So Far so Good
All my calendars have integrated and it does what it says it’s going to do. Impressed with the ai project generation and integration.
App is great
Helps me manage work and home projects. I have become much more organized. I also tied my Helpdesk support ticket to my motion account to have todo items added to my motion straight from the support request form. This is a great tool.
Great tool. Room for improvement
Love the app for my phone. Really wish it was optimized for iPads
