- Making a connection under Wi-Fi enabled environment
The application uses Wi-Fi function on your mobile terminal for the purpose of operating network-enabled devices.
- Accessing to music information stored in your smartphone / tablet
This application accesses to music information stored in your smartphone / tablet for the purpose of displaying, playing and editing the music information and/or playlist.
To setup your MusicCast devices, this app needs to find your Wi-Fi network as location information. This app doesn’t collect your actual location using GPS or Wi-Fi based positioning technologies.

Getting Frustrated
After last 2 updates, my music controller app gets disconnected from the surround sound setup using 2 WX-021 and YAS-408 soundbar , Day by day my problem doesn’t seems to be resolved….

Oh glitches galore
I have an RN 602 and 2 WX 030 operated thru MusicCast The app was fine all these years Now suddenly with the new version and new UI Internet radio is not available even after allowing streaming service to read the device App does not find Devices which have already been set up despite power on and off and re set up of all my Yamaha devices Even after that one has to power off and on each of my devices Firmware is stated to be uptodate on the app for each device Reboot instruction from the app for the device is not recognised Altogether an exasperating experience after three hours of struggle And with no service support for the app my WX 030 are practically useless without MusicCast and my RN 602 has to be operated without it manually for some functions but with no internet radio
App connectivity issue
Music cast app only works with wifi But most of the time app doesn’t run even when connected to wifi
Unstable WPA2-AES Encryption and MusicCast Playlists gets messed when played from Amazon Music
1. WiFi encryption needs fine tune as WiFi with WPA2-AES keys is not recognized and doesn’t work smooth. The connectivity goes off often and requires to update the encryption setting every time on my YAS408. 2. The Music Cast playlists are awesome way to store a playlist and play over and over again, without having to connect via Bluetooth or AirPlay. However, most times the song(s) added to playlist is not the song that is played back… also the interface is quite sluggish. Needs a serious fix to iron out the bugs to an otherwise awesome feature.
Can’t link devices
2 devices doesn’t get linked easily in spite of strong signals.

Not working for setup in yas-400
Unable to connect
The first time it get connected successfully. One day I found the app lost connection with my Yamaha R-N803. I have followed every steps very carefully but the app constantly fail to connect at step 3-2.
