Something as simple as auto-play is not working?? When a video your watching ends the “up next“ doesn’t play. This has been something I have waited more than a year for.
After 2 years streaming speed improved a lot. However, the little comforts like auto play, create playlists, … etc not present. Since most providers come from YouTube you would think they would replicate at least the basic feature set of YouTube but nope.
5 for Content; 3 for Speed
This platform is amazing! I’ve found several interesting channels and creators that the YouTube algorithm never recommended to me.
One thing I don’t like though is the waiting time for stuff to load whenever I open the app. Nope, my connection is not the problem as every other app loads their content in a blink of an eye. Nebula takes about half a minute. But the content is worth the wait...
This is the first time I don’t hate an algorithm knowing everything about me.
I’m not sure if the app actually does know anything about me, or if it’s a coincidence, but it just so happens that the home page features categories that are very much up my alley. Although I did choose to subscribe since I knew Nebula would have content I knew I liked, it was still really nice to see the things relevant to me on the front page! On that note I would give 5 stars for the content but 3 to 4 for the app itself. It still has some kinks to work out, such as loading times and some navigational/video playback issues. Regardless I really am glad to have gotten my subscription, and am glad to know the company is working hard to make the app better all the time!
A good start but needs a bit more work
I love the streaming service, the mobile app however needs a bit more work IMO, I had trouble logging in the first time and required me to restart the app a couple of times before I was successful. The UI looks pretty good, although some of the design elements could’ve been better integrated. It was also quite slow to load, according to Speedtest my phone was getting a 27Mbps downlink yet it took the app something like 10-20s to load all the assets.
Great App
This app is basically a streaming app filled with mostly educational youtubers I got this with a curiosity stream subscription. Now I think the subscription us good if you like learning and educating yourself more.
Jet Lag but more
New subscriber, but I love the ad free, early Jet Lag episodes. Big fan of the Layover podcast as well. All of the other ad free content has been awesome too.
YouTube is preferable
Messy app, poor playback, unable to search for specific videos by creators I am looking for, waste of seven bucks
Works great
Just needs better search and video bookmarking organization
Worth it even after just 3 days
Finally followed a link from a favorite binge watch channel and got a year for $36. Honestly will be getting the lifetime subscription when this one runs out.
It’s great to get uncensored and extra content- I also weirdly love non- algorithm bait titles. It gives me a much better idea of what I’m about to watch.
