I do love Nebula and the content on it. I appreciate using it on travels and long bus rides. For these situations I download videos to watch them offline later.
Thus, it is incredibly frustrating that the app repeatedly (way too often) deletes all of the downloaded videos and leaves me on a 13h bus ride without anything to watch. It makes me want to throw my phone out the window. Please, for the love of everything holy, fix this bug. It‘s driving me insane.
My one-year subscription was a waste
I subscribed because I wanted to listen to a single podcast. Is this an app that is supposed to play podcasts? Most of the time, it shows ab error message when trying to play an episode. I can't favorite a podcast, so I have to find it through search each time I want to listen to it. It doesn't remember, which episode I played last, there's nothing under "Watch History". My one-year subscription was a waste.
Content is good app is not
A thank you to the creators.
Content is good.
But l often watch the content on YouTube because the experience is so much better there and I even have to endure the advertisements.
What’s lacking:
- Visual indication when content has been watched
- Watch later list
- Creation of Play lists privat & public
- How about a search? Even one over just the raw data would be better
- The Netflix style of navigation may help to hide the lack of content but one gets frustrated.
- It’s ok to keep it but would be nice if one could switch to an efficient way of navigating as well.
All in all a good start but the iPad App has to improve
Thanks Markus
Content is great, app is awful
50% of the time, the video would not even start so I have switch to youtube.
What’s the point of having this app then ? I am still wondering why I keep it
Great Platform!
The content is really good, great creators. The app itself is decent: It‘s quite simple and the 2.0 update made it load reliably & fast. It works well, but there aren‘t many features.
I don‘t mind the lack of certain features, because the most important things are: content & stability. But I hope the platform grows and gets some more features, as long as the important qualities remain.
Good Content, Bad App
The content is great and I have nothing else to say about that. The app is really bad. It’s super slow to load pages, videos load fine. I get constantly logged out of my account, which is just annoying. At the moment, I can’t log into my account on the app. If i press login, it redirects me to the password reset page in the browser. I can’t login.
Content is of highest quality, app is a sluggish problem
Extremely grateful and happy for the high quality content. There is always something useful and interesting to watch.
The app has a number of disappointments for you:
- first page loads extremely slowly ⟶ up to a minute on a 600 Mbps connection
- interface is sluggish ⟶ open a creator's page, try to come back to the previous list with a tap on the close button, tap, tap, tap, tap, tap, 30 seconds later you might get a result (device is a latest generation iPad Pro after a hard restart)
- no Picture-in-Picture support ⟶ which is a feature that might be acceptable for outside of the application, but I cannot even review the other videos of the creator while watching in the app
- no playlist/queue
- no history of watched videos
Good choice, in my opinion, is the lack of comments and like/dislike system.
So if you are patient and do not expect to have an elaborate experience planning your videos queue, just going through all videos of a specific channel, then this is a very good choice.
The short of it: content is very good, app is disappointing.
continue watching
Videos that I started but didn't finish watching are hard to find again.
Great content, horrible app
Unfortunately the app is slow, doesn’t support PiP, and often enough unreliable with sound. Really unfortunate, as the content is very high quality. I hope you improve!
PiP feature please
Unfortunately the iPad app doesn‘t support picture-in-picture feature... would be a good addition.
