With neon you have your account on your smartphone. Always at your fingertips. Transferring money has never been easier. You always have an overview of your income and expenses. And with the neon Mastercard®, you can pay worldwide and online without fees and exchange rate surcharges.

You can choose from 3 accounts:
• neon free: the everyday account with zero base fees
• neon green: the sustainable account with easy CO2 compensation
• neon metal: the unique account with exclusive insurance packages

Are you ready for neon? Your part of the account opening in less than 10 minutes simply via smartphone, completely paperless. Download the app, enter your personal info and have your ID ready for the identification (photo-ID/video call). Afterwards, we need 2-3 working days to check and activate your account. Then you are ready to go. You will receive your card by snail mail within 7 working days.

Once you’ve opened your account, you will directly benefit from various neon features. Everyday account functions such as domestic and international transfers are waiting for you, you can upload and scan your QR bills, divide your money with our Spaces, invest in the most traded Swiss and international shares as well as ETFs, set up eBills and much more. All this at the best conditions – without hidden fees. And we’re always adding new features.

It's obvious, but we'll point it out anyway: your money is safe. You decide how you want to log in: with a personal login code, fingerprint or Face ID. Only you can authorize payments from your activated device, with a separate transaction PIN. And because your account is held at Hypothekarbank Lenzburg, it's protected by Swiss deposit insurance up to 100’000 CHF. Just like any other Swiss bank. Your data remains in Switzerland.

All you need to open a neon account is a permanent Swiss residence, exclusive tax liability in Switzerland as well as a Swiss passport/ID or a residence permit B or C for non-Swiss citizens (we can already evaluate passports of over 70 countries). Constant errors

Frequently experiencing “try again later” errors when logging in, and “unable to create payment” when trying to pay bills. This is a banking app, it needs to be reliable. Will need to look into alternatives unfortunately.

App is good but international transfer rates are criminal

For people who want some of the common features of neo banks this is similar to monzo and Revolut. However, for international transfers, they are 43chf more expensive on a transfer of 5000 euros than Wise.

Terrible experience

After loosing my card in June I had months and months of nightmare being left without access to my money. Finally managed to use the new card in September but after changing the pin at the bank Automat, it didn’t work. Of course, new cars new pin. Clueless customer service, patronising senior management team and when I complained to Hyp. They passed me back to Neon. Guess what happened after months of complaint emails written to Neon? Nothing. So happy I’m with a PROPER bank now!

The best retail bank of Switzerland

I’m so grateful with your amazing service provision in Switzerland, where the retail banking sector is way behind the UK. So far haven’t experienced any major issues. Also, you have an incredible customer service team who is always responsive. Thank you!

Good idea but it is missing some functionality

Plz put some money pots I cannt keep moving money around different accounts and banks. plz improve the functionality If you want to me to stick around
