There’s a clash between Nest and Google Home when using phone to indicate your presence. Just which one you need to setup should be clarified because they don’t work together. Frustrating!!

Frustrating
It takes forever to connect to the camera on the app. Especially when you are out of the house. The video feed attempts to load for minutes before restarting and after which it works fine. It load time wait and restart is frustrating.

Please keep producing this Nest system and don’t cease production; it is wonderful !
Wish I never bought Nest products
The auth constantly drops out and fails to link with the google account; it’s slow and laggy and adding and removing devices is a gigantic pain. Either fails to connect to the AP or simply drops out entirely from the home view. Wish I never bought Nest products
No sensible notification deletion
If you have a Nest Protect smoke alarm, you cannot turn off its notifications. If you have a power outage, each Protect device sends a notification. If you have multiple Protect devices and have a series of power fluctuations, you can easily rack up a hundred or more notifications. And each one has to be deleted by swiping it sideways. Do you know how much pain that causes? I do, I’ve just had to delete 100 notifications! This issue has been raised previously, multiple times, but they can’t be bothered to fix it. I doubt they even have the grace to feel embarrassed, which they should!
Almost useless
Alerts come through however it won’t play the 5 seconds of footage and just shows the buffering circle. This also happens when trying to view the cameras live feed which means you can’t see or communicate with whoever is in the room even though the screen alerts the room occupants the feed is being viewed. This frustrated my children when they think I’m viewing the feed and they’re trying to pull face at me but it’s worse when they’re arguing because I can’t figure out who I should yell at this time, so annoying especially since they’ve removed stealth watching.

Unstable and slow
Firstly the developer requires to much information and it’s slow compared to other devices and apps.
I updated or new features under google
This app has seen no improvements since google took over other than nagging me to change to google login, I don’t think google has any real interest in this product. I also have Amazon ring camera which seemed to improve significantly since ring being bought by Amazon. I do love the scrolling timeline feature of best but otherwise feel very disappointed in the products. It certainly seems to produce a huge number of false alarms regardless of settings/motion zones and nest aware subscription. Cannot recommend this product overall to anyone not already invested in nest or google home.
Awful
Camera app is terrible, 9 out of 10 times it does not come up with a live picture and well good luck to you trying to use it to talk to someone because I’ve not been able to do it once in two years.
