Totally useless
This product used to be half decent. Today it has been updated and is not totally useless. Previously video of movement was available. Today you can hardly get a still image of any value.
Waist of time
Had this door bell for over a year and no matter how much you change settings or re set it it never comes up on my phone when someone presses the doorbell. On the of chance someone dose press the bell it might tell my phone an hour later that someone’s pressed it. Total waist of money.
Could be much better
If I’d known that on/off settings could only be programmed in at half hour times I would not have bought a Nest. Bizarre limitation!

App crashes often. Hot water randomly turns off even though it is on a set schedule. Cold showers!

The nest camera door bell is not very good. A lot of lag time when bell is rug to notification on the app. Will not connect to google home hub display. Very disappointing. The only plus for me is video quality, the rest of functionality I could get from a cheaper Chinese doorbell. Cannot recommend.
The Nest is a scam to put up gas bills
The nest comes on all the time, it’s a sunny day and my heating comes on. Just puts the heating on all the time when I don’t want it on! And you can’t switch the heating off. The first nest I had broke within 2 weeks. Think the nest is a scam to put up bills. Give me back my old heating controls, I could control my heating then
It doesn’t work.
Nest reports every thing is ok, battery, sensors, etc… run the test it sounds alarm. However, light some tissue under it, blow it out, fill the house with smoke, no alarm, no alert, nothing.
