Notability: Smarter AI Notes

I bought the app when it got first released if I remember correctly, and I loved it since then. Nevertheless, several people including myself we have been waiting for a windows OS desktop app for years their desktop apps, so why haven’t you? Like come on…! Unfortunately, after years of using this note taking app I have to switch as I found something equally good but in all OS. I am suggesting to customers who see this to check for other apps that have windows apps too Obsidian, Simplenotes and Goodnotes is just some of them. In conclusion, is tiring having to switch apps all the time just to send yours notes or share your notes and use different apps and also pay for them. I hope you will finally listen developers. Thank you in advance.

I used notability on Ipad several years mainly for simple notes taking Last update made user experience much worse 1. When making copy of note not possible to change date. How developer is thinking possible to keep chronological order then??? 2. Pen size now is limited by 3 options. Now cant have size which perfectly works for me when using zoom in, zoom out 3. Control panel now made so huge so it takes 20% of screen space First time feel that need to try other note taking app

Cannot start app first time as button “get started” is not working on iPhone 13 🤷

I used to love this app and I paid for it. Now they’ve done the update and I lost all my premium features WHAT I PAID FOR. It is against Apple guidelines to force people, who owned premium, to take monthly paid subscription and take away premium features what they paid for. Don’t use it. I started to use other apps because of that update. I pay for an app, only to get an update couple of months later and I lost all premium features. NOT OKAY. This is not how you treat your customer. I purchased a lot of extras and now .. its useless to me. There’s tons of youtube videos from people who move away from this app and promote other apps. You could have earned money from extra features (what people can pay for) not make entire app subscription based. A huge no-no

The title says it all. For anyone needing something dynamic and not as petty in terms of purchase/usage - I’d recommend trying out Margin Note

Having only been using this app for less than a year, I am quite disappointed that they are now moving to a yearly subscription model. When I bought the app and the handwriting recognition tool, I thought that it would be for lifetime. As a loyal notability user, I can’t help but feel cheated by the devs. They should’ve kept all premium features for current users and charge the subscription model for all new users instead. This is not how you treat your loyal customers GingerLabs! Please rethink this strategy!

Used to be an amazing app that I paid for but unfortunately the developer has decided to move to a freemium model meaning that existing users who purchased the app will be left with an inferior app after the 1-year grace period runs out. Really hope that the developer finds a better solution for early adopters but until then I’m left with no other choice than to leave a 1-star review.

Was indispensable for my writing my thesis. Will keep using it.

Thank you for all the attention and care you gave to that app. I can really feel it :) Its very pleasant and intuitive to use with apple pencil. I really enjoy writing all type of notes with it and use it everyday for my work. great app:)
