Outdoor Route Planner:
Our Route Planner lets you easily plan and create routes based on your preferences. You can add text and photos to these, publish them within the Community or share them privately with friends. You can also import and export GPX files as required.
Recording your own Tracks:
The tracking functionality allows you to record your own tracks to include duration, distance, altitudes and an interactive altitude profile. Data from your iPhone's motion sensors can help us give you even more accurate results.
Navigation:
The navigation function with speech output lets you navigate comfortably from A to B on all routes.

Planning Via Francegina with App
Sometimes difficult to follow a specific path (eg Via Francegina) when planning daily stages, but overall good.
Become a memory hog lately
With the last few updates from about 3-4 months ago, the app has become a memory hog and often gets killed by the OS if it's running in the background even when the lockscreen widget is showing. You can tell because the lockscreen widget's distance stops incrementing. Y'all need to release resources when you get a low memory warning. iPhone 13 Mini, iOS 16.
Planning Via Francegina with App
Sometimes difficult to follow a specific path (eg Via Francegina) when planning daily stages, but overall good.
Huge downgrade
Yet another case of a company “upgrading” their app by locking features that used to be free or one-time purchases behind a subscription service. AllTrails has more to offer if you’re okay with subscriptions, or Gaia is better with no subscription at all.
Would give it 0 stars if I could
Awful app. Apparently I am tracking routes just to never see them again. App won’t let me confirm my email address, it just stays stuck in a loop asking me to confirm it again - oh but of course every time it asks me for permission to receive promotions to my email address from outdoor active and selected partners even though I have already said NO
Privacy policy says it all
It is pretty clear that this is another “how many ways can we sell your data” company. Just read the privacy policy and terms and conditions. There is MUCH emphasis on “value added features” that are little more than ways to sell you “more.” They should just be honest and call it an ad company. Much value add for the stakeholders, little for the customer. I want View-ranger back or the money i spent on the maps.
Newest version crashes on cold start
Please fix this. The last two releases have really screwed up app stability. Check your error logs.
