First of all, in my opinion, I’d just like to make it clear that I love this app. I recently wrote a review on procreate about the animation feature and this is mostly everything I wanted and more, apart from the fact it’s missing key tools and factors that make procreate…well procreate. The main ones for me being the lasso tool and the symmetry tool which is so damn annoying. Not just me but I’m sure many other people are waiting for you to add these features, it is so important for not just drawing, but animating aswell. All of that aside, I’m overall happy with this app but need the lasso tool and symmetry tool. Hoping you add them!

It’s not the worst animation software in the world, but it needs a lot more time. There are things that are missing that you’d expect to exist, like a selection wand, easier switching between tools. It’s incredibly performance heavy too, I have an ipad that’s pretty recent and it drains my battery and heats up my device like nothing else. Just needs more development, not worth buying until it’s had more work.

When I undo something it undoes multiple things and I can’t get them back it’s very annoying because it sometimes deletes 30mins of work I can’t use it full time because it has not got a Laso tool and it’s just not ready so I would suggest to not bye it right now. I’m sorry for the bad review but it’s 20$ that a can’t get back.

App needs updates really quickly and please give us the gif options. This should mandatory!

I use Procreate with an Apple Pencil but the same pencil doesn’t work with Dreams unfortunately and I can’t find a way to make it work.

I’m a big fan of procreate and I purchased this app in spite of all the bad reviews, I wanted to see with my own eyes… well, all the bad reviews are not lying, the app crashes all the time ( I have the latest iPad model), it’s nothing intuitive as procreate is, just NOT pleasant to use whatsoever. I’m extremely disappointed and unfortunately will be asking my money back. I do plan on purchasing again in the future because I’m sure SAvage team will revert this big failure in a huge success. But until there id rather have my money in my bank account.

i’ve been using procreate for a while now and just recently found out about the animation app. it’s great! would be really helpful if there was a lasso tool so i hope you guys add that in :)

Things like the selection tool and editing brushes are missing, which are the most basic functions. Additionally I find it very annoying that I can’t see the bounds of my eraser, making things go even slower. I tend to like to use undo and redo manually without the finger tap, so it’s location on screen is a major setback for me. Overall very glitchy and clunky. Hopefully soon an update will come and fix these basic things but right now it’s not it.

It was really fun to start playing with Dreams. After spending some time in it I can say that it is significantly behind professional animation software both in terms of lacking features, and also how clunky it is to use the existing features in Dreams. Every time I find myself returning back to my desktop setup because of how efficient I can be there.

At first it seemed daunting especially with how hidden menus can be (which is still a negative), however it’s quite easy to pick up on after looking at tutorials. Tutorials were on YouTube however and it would have been good if there were some on the app. My biggest gripe with this app is that it doesn’t have some tools found on Procreate. Now I understand that this is an Animation app, not a drawing app, so some features may not be included, however a simple lasso or transformation tool is essential. Further the organisation in this app can be finicky- it’s too reliant on drag and drop. But the overall software is very promising and I’ve already done some fluid animations on it. It’s faster than Krita I’d say and I love how you can drag layers and brushes from Procreate to this app with split screen.
