Procreate Dreams

It’s missing a lot of functions that procreate has. It makes in nearly impossible to do anything on here. I hope future updates will fix it

Dreams has been out for months now, and I’m still missing the same basic drawing functions we were already missing back then, such as the selection tool and being able to reference a layer. These are all great features which are already imbedded into procreate. Without them, animating in this app is a painstakingly long process.

This is only suitable for ProCreate experts who have an Apple Pencil and can guess how to use the app.

I really like the app the only thing is I do not understand everything about how to use it I would like more explanation about how to use because it is really hard to work with but overall it is a very good app to use for animating I like the keyframes I only do not know how to draw in it but I am just gonna be learning that so yeah very great app

Why hide everything away!? I can’t find any of the tools.. you gotta hit random buttons to get your tools.. just put it somewhere central… has a lot of potential but waaay toooo much focus making the ui look good.. fix the UX instead!! Can only have 2 video layers why?! Can”t make a gif?? Gotta send it to procreate to make a gif! Just frustrating for this ridiculous price.. to many limitations pleaaase release an update

I like everything this app says it can do. It sounds great in text, but in reality it’s only too good to be true. I know this app has only recently been released and there are a lot of further developments needed but charging this price for what feels like an early stage demo is disappointing. It has a lot of potential but I’m not even able to import videos without the app immediately crashing every time, even after updates on my side.

Love the app , still there are some problems I hope it gets fixed , 1.the app crashes usually 2. I wish when I was using the pointer on timeline on the groups instead of selecting the entire group I could select only the object on that certain frame . 3. Hope you guys bring the guides , rulers ,and straightening lines and automatic circle stuff back in can be really useful. 4. If we could select the object while on the flip book that would be useful too. 5. And shapes , combining with warp ,powerful. Thank you guys for developing this app.

It’s definitely no where near as good as procreate. A free tool would even be better than this €22,99 hot garbage

There's a lot to like about this app. The Procreate brushes are some of the best around and the intuitive workflow is also very well designed. It is great that I can now do some animating while commuting to work. But in its current form this app is very hard to work with. Here are some things that bother me: The undo function is broken and will sometimes undo multiple steps all at once, resulting in randomly lost frames and drawings. I have lost quite some work this way and I often notice it much later when I play my animation. This makes the app impossible to work with in my opinion. I often lean on the screen with my hand while drawing, but the app will color pick the background. This regularly interrupts my workflow and breaks my concentration. While it is possible to select multiple frames, it isn't possible to drag and move them all at once. This, among other things, makes it hard to set up a scene with key drawings and then do the inbetweens. I have also noticed that the tinderbox brush in Dreams is very different than the one in the original Procreate. I have solved this by importing the brush from the original app into Dreams, but one would expect that all the brushes in Dreams would be identical to the ones in Procreate. I hope these issues will be resolved in the near future and I am looking forward to continue animating in this otherwise amazing app!

Love this app, but it keeps crashing when I use the color fill/bucket/‘drag the color to a layer’ function. Everything freezes and I have to shut down the program. Makes coloring your frame by frame animation absolutely impossible.
