Reminds old design of lenta.ru

Select / Lookup

Oom Poindexter on

United States

When reading on other Apps, I am able to select a word in the text and then tap “Lookup “ in order to see a definition of the word or to find more information. The “Lookup” is not possible in the Reuters App… This feature would be a great addition to your app. Another issue is the inability to select and enlarge an image. Many times the details of an article associated tables are too small to read, unfortunately I am unable to enlarge them, they are unreadable and thus useless.

Bugs?

hp81 on

United States

Thought it was a bug but they seemed to have taken away their widget. They were IMO one of the best news apps from design and relevancy. Was great to see everything going on and then right into the article. Have to fall back to Apple News I guess. :/

Great content; poor interface

christomapher on

United States

Great content--poor interface. I'll pay to remove ads but this doesn't seem to be an option. Why not? Additionally, why can't I highlight text anymore? I used to be able to highlight and then look up the words on iOS. Lastly, why can't I zoom in on photos? It used to work. This app interface just keeps getting worse overall. These are basic things that other news apps handle with ease.

No widget = no point

DoggyDawg88 on

United States

Removing the widget removed the ONLY reason I used this app. Deleted. EDIT: after the “developers response”, I checked again and nope, still no widget. Out of curiosity, I scrolled the reviews here, and the devs have been claiming they’ve been “working on bringing the widget back in the next few weeks” since mid-late JUNE lol. (For future reference, I am typing this edit in AUGUST.)

Now FORCES You To Register

Zbsr on

Already a low grade poorly laid out app. Now won’t let you use without registering so they can track and spam your email. Deleted.

Bring the Widget back please!

Karteekkk on

United States

Widget had been my favorite feature and I’ve been waiting you would bring it back after seeing numerous users complaining about the same. Finally I’m leaving my feedback as well. Widget is cool…bring it back please. TR team, in response to others feedbacks, said they’re working on bringing this feature back. Can you share ETA ?

bring back old videoplayer

Old video content style and structure was the best. Now inundated with too many ads (i can understand 1/2 but every video?).

No More Widget

JohnPhx1971 on

I have not been a fan of the latest updates, but I kept the app on my phone because Reuters is a non-bias source for news. That all said the last half dozen updates have been terrible. The new interface is harder to navigate and not as easy to read as the older versions. Another big reason I initially used this app was because I could put a news widget on my homepage. Now all of a sudden the widget has been removed. Very disappointing. It seems as though the developers updates are taking features away in an effort to streamline the look and feel of the app. All those efforts have resulted in an app that I use less, because features have been removed and it is more difficult to navigate to see the news I’m interested in. I went ahead and downloaded the AP News app which unfortunately does not have a news widget, but seems to be easier to navigate and organized better to make for easy reading, and navigation. I’ll continue to have both on my phone, but I find myself using the Reuters news app less and less every month. if they brought back the homepage widget, I would probably use this app more.

Please bring back auto play

Skip8654 on

I had used Reuters for years! Part of what I liked was that Reuters, except for very few times, was unbiased and gave the black-and-white truth. The other reason I liked Reuters and their app was for the auto play. I would press play and let it go. Your TV app on Apple TV still does this however the app is not supported. please bring back autoplay. Until then I have switched to Haystack News.
