honestly, this sounds like a collection of sounds from old keyboard workstations from the early 1990's. I am really disappointed, the sounds lack detail , this is no match for Beathawk. I remember I tried Sampletank a while ago on dekstop and I liked it, but this version is pretty poor. And very expensive for what it really is. Totally over the top, the £21 version only gives me a few sounds but these were enough to convince me I should not spend a penny more for this sound module.

Why no au3, why No au3, why No au3, why No au3... This app has so much potential but it's shorted by the fact that there is no au3 support..... It's ridiculous, honestly. Yeh there are some great sounding instruments, There is also a hefty price tag avaliable. You purchase the app, then you purchase "sampletank pro" Sampletank pro? Great, wait £80!!! So I'm paying for the app and then spending £80 for the pro version, that's a lot of money for an app! OK but it's the pro version so I get everything right? As that's what PRO pretty much always means in every app ever created by mankind... Oh wait no, pro doesn't mean that here, its just another sound pack. I think they named it pro to intentionally mislead customers into thinking they were getting a full app So I contact support to ask for a refund on the "Pro" pack as I thought that included everything, support tells me they can't refund me. Customers leave negative review after negative reveiw with no response from devs, no au3 update, nothing. So how much does the full app cost with all sounds? £985.34!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And this isn't the total cost by the way, as I've already purchased some packs I couldn't see the price of them all but it's over £1000.... For an ipad app. Think of all the stuff you could buy for that amount? How about 50 plus other apps? How about a top of the range daw or some vsts For your laptop? How about an mpc or a machine? How about a new ipad? There are that many extra costs that my phone calculator ran out of Charecter space for the numbers L O L Do yourselves a favour and use garageband, it's free and comes with tonnes of instruments that sound just as good.

This app always had really great sounds but never functioned close to like it should have (2 years since last update) and sadly it’s almost useless now on iOS 14. Tried reinstalling, resetting iPad etc but it just freezes. As other users have commented; this is a rip off for those of us who purchased the additional sample packs. Is it too much for ik to release a performance/stability update? EDIT: The latest version of Audiobus appears to be part of the problem - deleting BOTH and reinstalling seems to help - still buggy but at least functioning again so changing to 3 stars

This was an amazing app. I have purchased many extra sound packs and hardware (iRig keys x 4, pads, guitar input, MIDI interface, etc). It now freezes and won’t respond on launch. I’ve removed and reinstalled without any upgrades but it still does it. Useless as it is I’m afraid.

What use are great sounding samples, if the app containing them falls over every few minutes due to lack of care by its developers. As it stands this is not fit for purpose. Remember that when you look at their other products. These guys just can’t be bothered. Nic

This a good app giving a wide range of decent sounding instruments. They might not convince virtuoso players but are good enough for our background / minor instruments and instruments we cannot play directly, e.g. violin, cello, trombone, trumpet and flute. The app is very resource intensive and so doesn’t play well when recording to GB via IAA or Audiobus on old hardware (iPad 2) so we use it as a standalone app and push the audio to a mixer / interface for recording. Use on iOS 9.3 and 12. Use it constantly for transcribing / developing songs. Overall, it might be expensive but we use it all the time and have forked out for two copies it is so good.

Downloaded the free SampleTank CS. The screen keyboard keys were not fully working and were all greyed out. Then I bought the Cinematic Percussion expansion pack for £19.99 to see if that made any difference. Still didn’t work. Then decided to buy the SampleTank 2 for another £19.99 to see if that made a difference and allow me to use the Cinematic Percussion that is just bought and couldn’t use. After registering the CS and the 2 version to the same account, try what I could, I could not migrate the Cinematic Percussion to the SampleTank 2 from the CS version to the 2 version. £19.99 wasted. SampleTank 2 sounds were very uninspiring. All in all, 2p shy of £40 wasted. Typically only after I spent the money on these apps did I read the bad reviews. Now passed this to Apple to get involved. I’ve posted on the SampleTank forum but then read that waiting for an answer may take a while, if I’m even lucky enough to get one.

I use this with Fishman Tripleplay and MIDIflow to manage string routings to ST in multi mode. I’ve bought a few packs and there are some great sounds, especially Rhodes and the Pro bass pack is excellent but struggling to get rich thick analog pad. Interface needs a little learning but makes sense when you know and everything you need to access is usually only one press away. But my HUGE bug bear is the 2+- PBR - it’s really restricting for midi guitarists. Please please PLEASE add user definable PBR to 12+- and Ill happily give 5th star :-)

Do not waste your money on this app. Since updating the iOS I have had nothing but problems. Instead I use other similar apps that a problem free.

Totally unusable since IOS 12, crashes when changing parameters. Been waiting 6 weeks for fix...nothing. Have given up now & deleted. Absolute joke company, please don’t waste your money.
