These locks feature built-in WiFi so you don’t need to purchase additional hubs or accessories for remote access of your lock. When a lock is paired to your smartphone and connected to your home’s WiFi network, conveniently use the Schlage Home app to:

- Manage up to 100 unique access codes per lock

In addition to the features & benefits above, the Schlage Encode deadbolt works with Apple HomeKit. After creating an account with Schlage, use the Schlage Home app to pair your lock with Apple HomeKit to:

- Create an Apple home key in the Wallet app for easy, secure access to your home using your iPhone or Apple Watch
- Create and manage always-on access codes in your Apple Home app
- Lock/unlock your deadbolt from your iPhone or Apple Watch

App won’t allow me to scroll!!

Can’t sign up because the app just freezes.

Ghost Notifications

I get an influx of notifications saying the door is locked and unlocked, over and over again. Pulled the batteries out, replaced them, rebooted the wifi router, reinstalled the app. Phone is iPhone 15 Pro Max I also have an S23 Ultra which I also tested the app with and had the same issue.

Too many apps

With Schlage, I would like them to combine all their apps; it's frustrating that I have two different apps on my device to control it. I’ve got the Schlage Encode deadlock for the main entrance doors and then got the Schlage S2 for bedrooms five main doors and 27 bedrooms and counting 😥

Adequate overall

But well short of perfect. I'm willing to forgo a few items of functionality for an excellent quality product like my schlage lock, such as location based locking and unlocking, biometric/fingerprint entry rfid. But, having none of that plus poor Alexa integration is very disappointing. The hardware is superb and the installation a breeze as a result of outstanding design but the the smart shortcomings are a very disappointing due to (presumably) rushed development and/or the design team went on holiday after they'd covered off all the legacy locksmith stuff. Pull up your socks schlage or you will be overteken by modern, innovative security companies.

No dark mode & battery drains fast

Very poor battery performance- Duracell failing after 8 weeks - come on ! And no dark mode option - hard on the eyes without it

Good, but doesn’t show all history

Good for showing if door is locked or unlocked, and being able to operate remotely. But the app never shows all the history of operation.

This is a good lock

Typically with any new electronic device I was nervous and thinking installation and set up was going to be difficult and frustrating. Not this lock. Easy to install and easy to fully set up. Thanks Bob

Needs work

I get very frustrated with the app, some times it won’t load properly and sometimes it won’t even recognise my lock. And a bit more modern on the app wouldn’t hurt especially for the price your paying for the lock itself!

Why isn’t it more compatibility with Alexa?

Annoying App

Kinda works. Wifi connection errors out without helpful information. Constantly asks for login on iPhone meaning slow to use.
