Simple but powerful Japanese-English, English-Japanese dictionary app.
The app's features include:
● Over 170.000 dictionary entries with readings and english meaning
● Over 6.500 kanji characters with stroke order
● Over 730.000 Japanese names, place names and institution names
● Over 147.000 example sentences with translation
● Instantaneous search results
● Character input by kanji and kana handwriting recognition. Recognition algorithm can handle wrong stroke order and small mistakes.
● When multiple similar characters are found, you don't need to redo drawing after each character - just long press to see a preview
● Search by kanji radicals (for example 日 and 月 will find 明)
● Wildcard search - "*" can replace any number of characters and "?" can replace any single character. Works both with English and Japanese words.
● Search by kanji, kana and romaji - "じしょ", "じsho" and "jisho" will give the same search results
● Kanji lists by JLPT level and school grade (1 - 6)
● Multiple word lists divided by subject, grammatical function, JLPT level and more

Impressive learning tool
I have been searching Japanese dictionary for N4/N3 level. It allows English input hiragana to search for word which gives me much flexibility. The explanation is not limit to word meaning but a lot of example of sentences and change or verb which helping us to understand how to apply it in different situation. Thank you for making such a good apps for us!

Helped me a lot.
This works as a great support for navigating for kanji and memorizing them. My favorite function is that you can watch all kanji for certain jlpt test and even make flashcards to test yourself.

If you have IOS, and you’re learning Japanese, this is practically a necessity.
This app has singlehandedly thought me nearly 700+ Kanji throughout my first year of learning Japanese, and to this date it is probably responsible for making me know around 1000. The simplicity of the flashcard system and the UI make this app perfect for learning Japanese. Sure its a dictionary at the end of the day, but you could use it to build up so much vocabulary, of course alongside other methods of learning and immersion. If I had to pay for this, I would.
The Most Complete Japanese Dictionary
Unbelievable work has been put in into this dictionary. Concise, detailed, organized, complete. Easily the best Japanese dictionary you can find in the AppStore. It has hugely helped me with my Japanese learning and also one the main reason why I kept going on learning the language as well!
