Can’t even use it

I have arc installed on my Mac at home, but I am travelling so can’t set it up on my phone. For a browser that is all about UX this is a pretty big fail.

2 Steps forward, 1 Step back…

I love Arc Browser, and I use it as my main browser on my Mac each day. As soon as I found the mobile version, I was all in to switch from Safari and do the work, but it was only until I opened it that I found it is a blown-up iPhone app on iPad. Now, obviously this won’t affect iPhone users, but if you have an iPad and want to use the same browser as your other devices, you’ll need to put up with this. From there, I choose to uninstall it and return to Safari on iPad.

Want to lose your tabs?

Tabs constantly desync or don’t sync at all and there is always a danger of all your pinned tabs being wiped/overwritten by a mis-sync between this app and the desktop browser.

Useful but buggy

The app worked for about a week then required being reinstalled because it continually errored when saving links. I submitted a bug report but didn’t hear anything back in a month.

A good start

Arc for Mac is easily the best browser I’ve ever used but the iPhone app has a long way to go. I love parts of it and it’s stylisation but it just doesn’t nail the basics yet. Hope it can be my default in the future

The Mac browser is fantastic, the iOS version? Terrible

Countless updates and it still refuses to synchronise my account, the general experience of using the app is awful with the command bar not being remotely obvious that you can access regular websites using it. The sync issue is crippling for me, I have to uninstall and reinstall every time I want to sync, which is completely ridiculous and no matter how many times I reported this issue - nothing heard back

No settings section

Cant change any settings in the app like search engine ect

Not fully ready

Don’t get me wrong I love are but the mobile version is still pretty limited in its capabilities, for example Easels, a feature custom made by the browser company doesn’t work on the mobile version. Would also love easier navigation on mobile similar to safari.
