WRITE NATURALLY

Write your score with the fluidity of natural handwriting. Use touch and Apple Pencil to quickly edit your notation. Transpose, repeat and structure your score with intuitive gestures and tools. Customise the tempo with a unique tempo staff (or import a tempo map from a MIDI file), add chords either manually or automatically with the chord staff. You can even copy music written in StaffPad into other apps, simply using the normal copy and paste functions.

Once you're ready to perform or record your work, tap the ScoreSync button in StaffPad and your score is instantly shared across a Wi-Fi network to any device running the free StaffPad Reader app (available in the App Store). The Readers present each individual musical part beautifully formatted, update in realtime with any changes you make to your score, handle automatic page turns, and play back in perfect time with a synchronised metronome, for capturing the perfect recording every time.

IMPORT AND EXPORT

StaffPad imports and exports MusicXML and MIDI files for easily working with other music apps. You can also export your playback as WAV, AAC or MP3. You can import audio files into your score, with support for most major audio formats.

As well as digital parts via ScoreSync, StaffPad will automatically format and print parts or export PDFs for you. Cosas que podrían añadirse

-Crear barras de anacruza no solo al inicio de la obra. -Cue notes o notas de guía en las partes individuales. -Escritura sin lápiz (desconozco si con teclado se puede). -Los grupetos con símbolo solo se pueden colocar sobre las notas y aveces se requieren en medio de dos notas. -poder seleccionar grupos de instrumentos al imprimir. La aplicación me gusta en especial la parte de conseguir sonidos más realistas, ojalá fueran más económicos.

La app es muy cara costo-beneficio, se traba seguido, a veces no reconoce los trazos y es poco fluida

Buena para trabajar con otras apps

Es una buena app para trabar ideas rápidas, yo lo ocupo en conjunto con Sibelius en la computadora y son un gran complemento. Tiene una biblioteca de sonidos muy buena. Actualización Septiembre 2023 Desde la actualización, el instrumento Piano (Single Staff) no suena. Por favor, arréglenlo, se ocupa mucho puesto que la app no cuenta con instrumento de Guitarra clásica.

The integration with sample libraries is fantastic. Unfortunately, the handwritting recognition is opinionated, inflexible, and there’s no other way of entering notes.

Buena para trabajar con otras apps

Es una buena app para trabar ideas rápidas, yo lo ocupo en conjunto con Sibelius en la computadora y son un gran complemento. Tiene una biblioteca de sonidos muy buena.

Horrible que no pueda usarse sin Apple Pencil

La compré con mucha ilusión de usarla para mi composición, es una app carísima y es TERRIBLE que sin Apple Pencil no pueda usarse. Tengo un lápiz genérico porque el de Apple es muy caro, y es horroroso haber pagado tanto por algo que no va a servirme de nada.

Features missing

I would really love to have some features that make writing contemporary/experimental music viable, it also would be useful to have customizable staffs for percussion. Currently there’s no way to write microtonal notes and rhythmically complex music. It also lacks the ability to insert or create custom symbols or graphics and write different note heads

Puede mejorar

La Aplicación es buena pero le hacen falta agregar cosas básicas qué normalmente utilizarías en un papel pautado como expresiones mp, mf, ff, Cuesta mucho trabajo agregar estas expresiones, uno espera que con el lápiz sea más fácil sin embargo es complicado, se pierde demasiado tiempo, otro cosa que no puedo agregar es una anacruza con reducción de compás, me gustaría poder realizar eso. Ojalá se puedan agregar mejoras de escrituras por que por el precio uno espera algo más.
