I’m flabbergasted!
Finally a serious notation app. The sound packs are of desktop quality. The most boring thing with composing is to copy down the music. Using Staffpad is like writing on paper. No hazzles. My Apple Pencil is working perfectly with StaffPad, and it’s really easy to copy down the music I hear in my head. Expensive? Not really, if you compare with desktop programs… with them you even have to use a mouse… Staffpad is a clear five stars app.
Its a scam
Do not buy this app unless you plan to only compose. The sound librarys sounds terrible and you have to buy librarys that cost 10 time the price of the app. If you import xml files with sounds that Staffpad doesnt have, then it wont play and you cant even change instruments. But worst of all: There is no free testing, and If you regret bying it, there is no refund…
Highly recommended!
I have used Symphony Pro 5, Notion and Notateme. StaffPad is the best, no doubt! It is also very expensive (or maybe not considering). Highly recommended that you watch some YouTube videos in order to imitate the best writing style for this app. After that, this app has no problems recognizing my hand writing. So many clever choices made in this app that makes writing music faster and more fun than ever.
Notion works much better!
Many Nice features but It doesn’t recognize handwriting very well. You have to write very accurate. I hope for bug fixes in the future. The features an tutorials are very promising, but if it don.’t works it’s a waste of money!
