Logging in again, again and again
Hi Starhub team, I don’t understand why do I need to login with OTP every time you decide to upgrade the app.
I am using the same device to purchase the exact same plan every month… 🤷🏻♂️ Then I am prompted again to enter the payment’s OTP… which is silly. It is me!!
Starhub is the worst.
I've used Singtel, CMLink, Starhub and Starhub is disappointedly the WORST. They set scam rules to trap you. Feel shamed for them :( Unprofessinal pre-sales and customer service team. Disgrace of the country...
App doesn’t work at all
After you accept the terms and conditions, the app just gets stuck at the lime green splash screen, and never loads past that. I’ve tried several times before finally giving up and uninstalling the useless app
Mandatory updates too often
Every 2 weeks or so, the app requires mandatory update. Followed with re-login and all of the hassles. I only use this app to top up my balances, and there aren’t many things that you can do with the app anyway. What’s with all of the updates? Why can’t they just create a simple app and only require updates for extended features?
Pls don’t update when I want to use you!
Whenever I want to check my balance, this app requires an update. Even Windows does not do this anymore! Annoying
Network Not Available
No matter how many restarts and app installations, the app will not open because network is not available.
Infinite OTP trap
First, BEWARE: the “free data” they advertise is local (for use in Singapore) only. Second, and worse, this app has a built-in infinite OTP trap, where, if you bought the SIM for use with a portable WiFi device, you’d better pray for free public WiFi access somewhere because it’s impossible to receive the OTP without it. You have to take the StarHub SIM out of your WiFi device, put in into an unlocked phone, connect your phone to another WiFi, verify the OTP, then put the SIM back into your WiFi device. This app will force you to do this at least three times per day. StarHub Support will also insist on you restarting every device every single time you do anything, which will trigger yet another OTP verification. Good luck enjoying your vacation with this unreliable and terribly designed app!
Apps not loading
When I opened starhub prepared apps was asked to input my mobile no which I did so but ott no was never received. This happened since I activated or bought roaming data of S$25,- which was deducted from my account but the service is not available and the apps is not loading. Basically my sim card is not functioning
Added 20$ and it disappeared
Worked fine in Singapore and than all
If the sudden I lost data plan that I had plenty off. I added 20$ it never came up even I got confirmation. Impossible to reach customer service. Scam.
Wipes out credit even on a data package.
I had a one month data roaming pack subscribed for emergencies as I am traveling with my sick mother. I had not used any data or any calls during the subscription period by disabling the sim on my dual sim phone. Just landed in Milan and turned on my phone to “discover” that my main wallet balance is wiped out and can’t use my phone when I actually need it. I am very phone savvy and know there were no errors on my side. How can my data package expire ahead of time without using it and more importantly how can my main wallet be consumed in airplane mode during a 12 hour flight.
This is the 3rd time that the exact same thing has happened and now I know it’s deliberate. Note to Starhub techies. My number is 82510105. Pls can you give me an adequate explanation for this recurring problem and more importantly can you give me a solution. I am otherwise overall very pleased with the service and would definitely change my rating upon resolution.
