You pay for a subscription, but they designed the app so that you cannot read. It jumps back and forth as you read, to show more advertising.

Descontento por la eliminación del traductor en la aplicación de The Economist
Como usuario fiel de la aplicación de The Economist, debo expresar mi profundo descontento por la reciente decisión de eliminar la opción de utilizar el traductor en sus artículos. La posibilidad de traducir los contenidos en diferentes idiomas era una característica invaluable que me permitía disfrutar plenamente de los artículos, independientemente de mi dominio del inglés. Esta función de traducción no solo facilitaba la comprensión de temas complejos y terminología específica, sino que también ampliaba el alcance de sus lectores al atraer a una audiencia internacional más diversa. Me sentía conectado con la comunidad global y podía disfrutar de los análisis y perspectivas únicas que The Economist ofrece. La eliminación del traductor ha limitado significativamente mi experiencia como usuario y me ha dejado con una sensación de frustración. Ahora me veo obligado a buscar traducciones externas o perderme de algunos contenidos relevantes, lo cual es desalentador y afecta mi percepción positiva de la aplicación. Espero que The Economist tome en cuenta esta retroalimentación y considere restaurar la función del traductor en su aplicación. Sería un gran paso para mantener a los usuarios satisfechos y comprometidos con la plataforma. Mientras tanto, lamento decir que mi nivel de satisfacción con la aplicación ha disminuido considerablemente debido a esta omisión.

One does not need to be imaginative to write about the Economist. Quite simply, the best journalism in the world.

Después de conocer muchos medios de comunicación me convencí que The Economist es el medio de información más serio, responsable, y completo en el mercado de la información en el mundo.
Beware of renewing subscription before checking with The Economist.
App not working, after MANY years performing very well. The Economist says nothing useful; it seems impossible both to have application working or money refunded. Four months into this. Many calls to call center, proof of purchase provided, to no avail. Case number 00840334, this being a case raised by my wife, she paid the subscription.
Up-to-date always
Not only the app but you….! The best is that you can search past articles about any topic and you can see how it has evolved and where it will probably go. Current affairs and cultural issues are also covered within the economist app. Last, but not least, quick access to the podcasts is there and you can also listen to the weekly magazine on the go. Great work, love it…!
