Recent change is a disaster

MaxS1453 on

As WSJ has essentially acknowledged, the recent update has destroyed the experience on iPad. Now it just looks like a blown up version of the iPhone app. What a fail and how did something like this get released?!

Why forced dark mode?

cipheranarchist on

Australia

I used to have no problem with the app, but now it has an enforced dark mode and doesn’t seem to have any option to return to light mode. Disappointing for those of us that prefer to read in light mode.

Facts not Fiction

The WSJ is one of only a few Journals that are not invested in Narrative Journalism I.e. biased to factional politics. More than anything else that is what is needed in society today. Frank

Great app but continuously refreshes

Greywine on

Australia

Great app but when scrolling through the app, it will randomly refresh itself and reload the whole screen and will reset and show the top news . Even though you might have scrolled to the end of screen. Very annoying and defeats the whole purpose to use the app vs the website.

The menu is so confusing.

I feel I’m not intelligent enough to understand how to find sessions on this iPad app. It’s so much easier with phone and desktop. Also images seem to be cropped when viewing on portrait mode. This needs a lot of improvements.

Good stuff !

I CANT BELIEVE IT

Lennox6669 on

Australia

I swore off “mainstream media”, especially Murdoch press about a decade ago after the Australian mastheads lost all of their outstanding journalists in the digital disruption. I have since really enjoyed finding and supporting independent news and journalists on social media channels. But even I was shocked recently. When the US Banking crisis hit I turned straight back to the major news outlets on that Saturday (Australian EST time) when SVB went down. I only felt sure the news was correct when I found it on WSJ. And so, for the first time in more than ten years, I have once again become a subscriber to WSJ. I still can’t believe it, but now it’s my go-to for major macroeconomic and financial news which is a daily event right now…

Enjoyable read

Balanced and contemporary.

It is essential society maintains its independent, critical and honest sources of journalism. WSJ upholds these standards admirably in an era of increasing misinformation and partisanship. WSJ provides a balanced, well researched and broad coverage of important issues on a timely basis.
