USING THE TIER APP

TIER electric scooters, bikes and mopeds give you the freedom to explore your city and to get where you need to be in a smart, safe, and sustainable way. Simply open the app and rent a ride with a few simple steps.

HOW TO START A TIER E-SCOOTER & GET GOING

• Download the TIER app, sign up, and add your preferred payment method
• Find a TIER scooter near you on the map
• Scan the QR code on the scooter to unlock it and start a ride
• Push the e-scooter forward to flick the kickstand back
• Put one foot on the board and push off with the other
• Push down the throttle to gain speed
• Let go of the throttle or use the brakes to slow down.
• Surf your city and enjoy the ride!

HOW TO END YOUR RIDE

• Find a safe place to park the scooter and flick the kickstand down
• Open the TIER app and tap 'End Ride'
• Get out there and live your best life!

How are we supposed to find out what bikes are available

Planning a trip in Europe, if you want to find out what bikes are available by Tier, for example, in Vaasa, and whether it could be an option, it’s totally impossible to pre-plan. There’s no way of checking if the bikes are currently operative until you arrive by which time it’s too late

An absolute scam

As tourists overseas we tried using Tier to get around Paris - what a miserable experience. The app charged my Partner and I €3.49 each and yet when we tried to start our electric scooters neither of them worked. We tried to change these but couldn’t stop/pause the trip as we were not in the parking zone. There was no support option during the ride and so we had to drag our scooters around the area looking for a parking zone where we could fix it. This took us 20 minutes. A few of them were full so it didn’t let us drop them off there - we were still charged for this. Very very disappointed and will not be recommending to anyone visiting Paris.
