It’s nagware!
I was happy with this app until recently when it started to promot paid options subscriptions which you can’t disable. It keeps bugging you about the paid services. 🤮

App will not allow me to sign up. Says services in the area are not supported. I have tried many countries when signing in but same response. This almost renders my PWS useless.
Totally annoying. It never connects with the Bluetooth on my phone. The latest update has made it worse. The curtain not opening at all.
Decent app in terms of usability, however cloud services are a complete scam. Got charged double the amount advertised and the given a message that the service wouldn’t be available for the next pay period?! Don’t fall for this. Almost definelty granteed not to get a refund also.
Used to be a good app, now all you get are continual pop up BS adds blocking the top of the screen trying to get you to join their BS subscription’s for energy saving.
Always reliable. Great features. Adding new devices is easy. Excellent automation functionality. Huge range of devices. You can’t ask for more.
I believe that Tuya has its relatively high rating because its devices are cheap and hackable, so it appeals to the hobbyists. For use with Home Assistant etc. The only requirement of smart home devices is that they are reliable so you don’t have to keep repeating the setup process, which is sheer Hell for almost all of them. After the fifth time Alexa and Google told me that it had become unresponsive,I happily threw out my Tuya smart powerboard. Another failed Aldi experiment. Never again.
Have used this for a little while however since the update you are now required to pay more than $30 a year to receive push messages from your devices. That’s just so bad. Once you’re on the platform you are trapped, it’s not like the app had in app purchases that you could consider. You just lose your notifications point blank. That’s just mean spirited. Shame on you developers. Shame shame shame.
I don’t know if I can recommend this product. I have a timer set to turn something on at 9am every day and yo turn off at 11pm every night. However, it is doing random switching. It didn’t turn on. So I turned it on manually. Then it turned itself off after a few hours. Stick with the major brands would be my view. Pity, as it could be a good product.
Suddenly being charged for an app. Out of the blue 2 years later being charged $10 a month??? Very sly
