After years of using Authy despite its poor UI and limited features, I decided to merge two accounts. The results?
At first, my main account was overwritten, and then the app suggested I log off and on. I logged off, and to sign in, it required the only option to send a push notification to a device where Authy was already installed. How genius? There you go—locked out. So far, my AWS accounts are under review to remove the MFA and, with them, a few others. Hours were spent recovering all my logins. Avoid this app like the plague.

New UI
Please bring back the old UI. The new UI NO improvement at all. Quality of images and account readability is very poor. The new sorting cuts the account names, which makes it hard to find the one you need.

Geen migratie mogelijk
Nu de desktop app plotseling een half jaar eerder wordt opgeheven dan gepland (maart ipv augustus) heb ik er geen vertrouwen in dat de mobiele app wel nog zal blijven bestaan. Nu wil ik mijn OTP's overzetten naar 1Password. Helaas kan je de hashes niet lezen/kopiëren, dus de enige manier is bij alle accounts de OTP helemaal opnieuw instellen. Ook heb ik gemerkt dat de backup herstel niet werkt, want bij het overzetten maar een nieuwe iphone kon de backup niet worden ingelezen.
