i am unable to log in without another device that has the app on it. what exactly am i supposed to do if i break my phone then?
Dissatisfied by the bad app
I downloaded this two-factor authentication app with high hopes, but unfortunately, it fell short of my expectations. The user interface is clunky and unintuitive, making it a hassle to navigate through the app. The authentication process is slow and often fails to generate codes promptly, leaving me locked out of my accounts. Additionally, the app frequently crashes, further adding to the frustration. Overall, this app is unreliable and not user-friendly, and I would not recommend it to anyone in need of a secure two-factor authentication solution.
Dropping Mac app and iPhone app annoying!
The main reason I had Authy was to allow syncing to my Mac however they are dropping support for the Mac application. Also I find it very annoying that you have to find the one you want and select it before a code is shown. All other apps just list all the codes straight away. Having small icons to search through and select is annoying as a developer who has a LOT of them set up including many with similar names. There also doesn’t appear to be any grouping and with deleting you have to wait 48 hours for which I understand is a useful safety net for accidental deletions but is also annoying when you know you want rid of it straight away.
Logging in
I can’t login with my phone , it keeps timing out
Pointless
End of life on the desktop app has caused real issues within my business - for some reason Authy are now forcing us to use personal mobiles rather than allowing the desktop app to continue.
Useless! scam
Don’t! You can’t even delete your account. 90% of reviews are fake!!
Bit of a nightmare for me …
Haven’t been able to access work area for almost a week, have had IT look into the problem, deleted and then reinstalled authy, but to no avail- haven’t been able to figure the problem but it wants to send a push to another device when I don’t have any other devices with it installed - once it goes a bit wrong then there doesn’t appear to be much in the way of alternatives … so at the moment I’m just plain locked out of work areas 😊
Worst of the big auth apps
I use multiple auth apps daily without issues. Bet it works fine for most people. But I would avoid if possible.
