Stole Money from Me
Having reached the maximum reward for the quarter, I initiated the reward be deposited in my bank account on 5/14. On 5/15, the amount was DEBITED! Today 5/27 I get an update that my issue has been resolve as the reward was put back in my Virgin Pulse account. This would be fine if the reward had just vanished, but does not address my missing cash! Virgin pulse give me back my cash which had nothing to do with your organization!!
Update based on the advise of reaching out to Virgin Pulse support. This review was given after 2 interactions with support, after which my ticket was closed while my money still had not been returned. Funds were finally returned 5/29, 14 days after being taken, and 3 interactions with support. On the last interaction I was asked for proof of the debit with no associated credit, as if I was not relaying the truth. I assume Virgin Pulse would have never reached out to me on this issue while it existed.
A truly terrible app
My work recently switched to this and I honestly think its the worst app Ive ever used. To get the 60,000 point (for only $100), you need to average 165 points a day. Im an active person but to track that and do the stupid tasks in this godforsaken app would take so much time that it would be like 30 cents an hour. It is a real waste of time.
Clunky app and poor customer service
The app is not easy to navigate. Some links don’t. Some aspects do not track points properly. When you do not receive the points you are due it is as if the app is ripping you off. When I contacted customer service about my missing points he told me to “prove it”. Mind you, an example of what I am “proving” for points is that I downloaded an app called Spring Health and signed up. First off why would I lie about that. I gave adequate data to “prove it” and I am still getting the run around. I have been emailing back and forth for 7 days now and it still has not been resolved. For an app that is meant to help with health, mental health, and financial health it has caused me a lot of grief and hassle. I can’t recommend this app any less.
OK if you can get the points/rewards
The app works well enough, I think, if you’re looking for (and disciplined enough to stick to) something that can help you achieve various health goals. The incentive, outside of a “better you”, being the points you earn that translate to various rewards. I joined my friends team (or group or circle or whatever it’s called) so that we could both earn these rewards only to find out that while I did earn points, they only translated to rewards for him as I’m not eligible. I’m disciplined enough where I don’t need an app to stay focused on my goals so the only incentive to use this one is null for me. Allow rewards for all (maybe even if it’s less for those not connected through their employers) and perhaps I’d come back.

please stop changing the set up of the app!! I’m too busy and old to be relearning apps every update!! But, i NEED the money i earn through this!!
Two parts of the app need separate reviews
The earning side of the app is amazing. The tracking, the daily cards, the challenges, etc. It’s not perfect but compared to the spending side of the app (the Virgin Pulse store), it’s night & day.
Right now one of the developers has put a message up without noticing that the message blocks a lot of user function like the search bar. The gigantic ad regarding Peloton coming soon is also interfering.
I’ve been trying to purchase a toothbrush and can’t seem to get to the final step, however … my cash balance is showing that I have allocated it to the toothbrush. When I go back, it shows that I have my full amount to spend.
Frustrating to say the least! You just need to have someone who knows how to check their work looking at their updates to make sure they don’t ruin the customer facing side of things.

They recently changed the target of points required for achievements (which can be redeemed a small amount of the money that I spend on my healthcare plan, and one assumes a small portion of the money my provider paid them). Now it requires a level of participation that’s frankly beyond the abilities of any normal adult with responsibilities who also spends time on exercise. Hopefully my provider drops this app soon.
