Smood, the Swiss Delivery App

Error message: Unable to establish an internet connection. Attempting to reconnect. I have never been able to use it. Just see the error message. Latest Iphone 15 Pro Max

I have used Smood off and on for the past 1.5 years. The service is inconsistent and unreliable. We have an issue with almost every other order. It is not normal that customers need to contact customer service so often for incorrect orders, non confirmed orders, non delivery, etc. Use a different food delivery app.

If you want a great conversation with customer service about the idea of food, this app is great if you actually want food delivered use any other app. Literally, a carrier pigeon has a higher likelihood of successfully dropping food on you, than successfully using this app.

After the last uodate it is the WORST delivery service ever! Nothing works now, I cannot order anything for hours, a lot of bugs.. shaming updates!

Unable to register due to “API Connection Error”

This app sends promotional push notifications and emails. It also allows Sign in with Apple but claims that Apple private email addresses are not valid, forcing you to enter another one. Finally, it is buggy. I am an app developer myself, and I was unable to place an order after several attempts; the only things I got from downloading it were lost time, reduced space on the device, App Library clutter, and spam.

There is an API error preventing you from opening an account. I’m hungry guys come on…

Really weird about addresses. Doesn’t work with my normal house address in Zurich, but only sometimes. They need to hire some engineers to work on their app.

The live chat never really works or helps and customer service never answers. I have ordered several times for food that never arrived, despite the fact that the app noted that it was deliverable. This app is the most unreliable food delivery app I have ever tried in Europe.

I used this app for the first time because Uber Eats was not available in my area. I placed an order with a restaurant and waited for delivery. The app notified me that the driver was at my door, but was not. Five minutes later the app marked my order as delivered. NOTHING was delivered and I never saw a driver, or any vehicle moving on my street for that matter. I tried to call the restaurant, but they said it was out of their hands and to call the delivery company. I called Smood customer service and was told the the call would cost me CHF 0.99 per minute and to use chat for as a free contact method. ANYTHING I typed into chat was replied with, ‘sorry, I did not understand that. Can you please try again.’ I called customer service and was on hold for 5 minutes before I spoke to a person. Again, I was placed on hold while they called the driver to investigate. They came back and said the driver called me 3 times. I never received ANY calls form ANYONE during the time the driver supposedly called. I asked for proof. They sent me an email with a screenshot of the supposed calls. Nothing showing it was my number called. First alleged call showed 0 seconds, second alleged call was 3 seconds, and the last was 5 seconds. Smood refused to do anything further saying the the order shows it was delivered. So now I’m out CHF 80 thanks to a dishonest driver and customer service representative. Don’t use Smood. If there’s a delivery issue, they probably won’t help. And…they’ll charge you for their ‘service’.
